Seems there’s a few cheap skates around here.

Not at all! Give to get. Sefton council have £ signs tunnel vision. If there was more free parking, more people would travel to town and more business would be generated, more business means more taxes being paid that goes back to the council. Doesn't take much to work that one out!
Blackpool - loads of free parking spaces or cheap multi storey. Blackpool free fireworks display. The whole place was heaving with people who were all spending, food outlets had long queues. More money spent in the region the more money for the council. So Blackpool has got it right.
Cheshire Oaks - all free parking. Place was packed with shoppers, many from tunnel vision Manchester. It is all to do with psychology.

Parking Taliban is too strong, yes it's not much of a job but they do have some uses.

You can't compare a purpose built shopping outlet with a town, you might as well say the Trafford Centre has plenty of free parking!

Free parking in side streets away from any of the attractions, there's plenty of that in Southport.
Last time I went you are guided to a huge car park which is or was £12 for the day.

Instead of moaning about parking if you can, just walk or circle, and anyway these traffic wardens and parking attendants are only doing there job, if you pay for parking you will have no trouble, stop moaning.

Same in almost every town, i.e. there's always plenty of free all-day parking space away from town centres.......Visiting Blackpool, I park on a residential road at Squires Gate and cycle in via the Prom. With a lightweight folding bike in the boot you're laughing!

I can walk my other half can't, do they have wheelchairs with plenty of storage room?
We haven't tried circling yet but it could make you dizzy.
I agree with the rest but not forgetting the attendants don't set the rates that is down to Sefton, if no one policed it no one would ever pay.

Yes she has one but I was just pointing out to the simplistics that because they can walk or ride a bike not everyone else can. The cyclist in chief is the biggest culprit.
