I do hope you realise that's the democratically elected government of Northern Ireland you are talking about Hector.

The Provisional IRA and the current Sinn Fein are not one and the same Polly.
Clearly, along with your apparent voice Tony Greenstein, you are in favour of the attempted murder of politicians. Could you please explain why that is?

Not the same? I think I'll be guided by Gerry Adams rather than you Hector after all he masterminded the ballot box and bomb approach which has now proved spectacularly successful in N Ireland.
They're only terrorists until they win Hector.

No. They are not the same. And we don't glorify past killing.

You do know that saying things doesn't make them true don't you Hector.

Not really! They were almost all on the one page. I had dealings with Tower Hamlets a couple of years ago and I heard a lot about them then. The leader of the council at that time had been sacked and Labour disowned him for fraudulently using council funding. But Labour being labour - took him back on five years later. At a guess, I would say that half the councils in London are voted in by nepotism, the minority groups cannot get a foot in the door. Wide open invitation for corruption.

Adams and the late McGuiness were given cabinet positions in exchange for a peace deal. Sort of keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer. It was the softly, softly approach. I would not relish setting free hardened murderers from gaol just so they could become politicians. Even now, there are those who are stepping into Adams IRA shoes in Ireland and harming people and the Police there. No, they carried out far too many vile atrocities and should have been imprisoned for life meaning life.

I"m afraid it does seem that you do indeed also glorify past murders and attempted murders of British people and politicians, Polly just as anti-semite, joke Trotskyist, Tony Greenstein, does. It might be wise for you to find another little old Trot to follow.
If you actually did not support the attempted murder of Maggie Thatcher please say so clearly for the forum now, once and for all, and accept my profound apologies.

I'd take that up with Sinn Fein if I were you Hector. They are the political wing of the IRA after all. Did you really believe Martin McGuiness when he said he wasn't Head of IRA Northern Command?
As for condemning stuff I condemn all deaths in wars of colonial oppression. How about you Hector?

So you do support the murders and the attempted murder of Maggie then.
I shan't waste any more time talking to you.

Which part of the sentence "I condemn all deaths in wars of colonial oppression" did you not understand Hector?
Getting back on topic the forum may find this article from Counterfire (which is admittedly to the left of The Spectator and Harry's Place) illuminating on the topics of the Aspire victory in Tower Hamlets and the Sinn Fein victory in Northern Ireland.

You have not answered Hector's question "So you do support the murders and the attempted murder of Maggie then."?
Do you still support the same fate of French Royalty for our present British Royalty?
