The issue is not really Trump's Tweets. The issue is that we are living in a time which has several close similarities with the Germany which saw Hitler rise to power. If anything the conditions are overripe.

Aah its Godwin time,
we most certainly do not have anything like the conditions that led to Hitler, the far right as we have seen recently are two fat men kicking the air in this country.
The rise of the far left is a much greater risk to our society as they are now emboldened into acts of destruction on our streets completely ignoring the rule of law.
In the US no party has great dominance and the election is finely balanced because the Democrats have chosen a dope.
A strong candidate a sensible campaign and Trump would be back playing golf with his cronies.

Hitler rose to power through a Socialist party.
Quote
"National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP-Nazi)
The National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP-Nazi), founded in 1919 as the German Workers party, began its move toward prominence when Adolf Hitler emerged as its principal speaker and leader. The National Socialists initially attracted young men who had been in the military and had not been able to reintegrate themselves into the civilian society and economy. The party also drew support from members of the lower middle class, shopkeepers, artisans and white-collar workers. The party was unequivocally opposed to the Weimar Republic and in 1923 its members led by Hitler tried unsuccessfully to seize the government by force. After this failed attempt the party reverted to a strategy of gaining power through the electoral process without ever changing its fundamental opposition to democracy and republican government. Antisemitism and the threat that the Jews represented to Germany were at the core of the Nazi ideology.
During the later twenties, the base of National Socialist support expanded considerably. Although most of the top leaders of the party including Hitler were Catholic, and the party had begun in Catholic Munich, fewer Catholics proportionally voted for the party than did Protestants. This voting pattern was the result of the Catholic Church urging its members to avoid supporting the Nazis. This Catholic Church opposition to the Nazis would be dropped once Hitler achieved power. While the Nazis were slow to attract women supporters (program for women was summarized by “Children, the Kitchen and the Church”), women were the fastest growing group of supporters by the early 1930s. By 1932, the Nazis had become the most popular political party and they had the largest legislative delegation."

Local: With no disrespect, I think you need to look again at the period between post WWI and the rise v(and victory) of Adolph.

[QUOTE=local;6734881]Socialist in name only,
True.
In the beginning it was a 'workers party'.
A party that gave Hitler a platform and enabled him to kill off moderate opponents in pursuance of his Fascism.
https://www.britannica.com/story/wer...zis-socialists
Unlike Trump who stood on a populist Right of politics platform.

I suppose they would. It'd be a bit embarrassing to declare a President that Israel has wholeheartedly endorsed has supporters designing Nazi symbols on masks. Not sure what they'll say when Trump supporters are actually wearing them.
Particularly when Facebook has already removed Nazi symbolism straight from the Trump campaign. And Jewish groups have condemned his 'Nazi inspired' campaign T-Shirt.
And his base freely wave swastikas and perform Nazi salutes. Not to mention the rich vein of KKK and white supremacists that he directly appeals to.
The list I provided in post #3 is enough to convince me about Trump's as a man and a 'politician'. The Nazi symbolism, and open admiration of the Nazis among his supporters, merely confirm how vile they are.
Although given all of this has happened and continues to happen, I'm going to assume the Israeli press will say nothing, as they have up to now, as far as I'm aware. If you have any links from the Israeli press condemning all this Nazi symbolism and white supremacy, I'd like to read it from their perspective.

the discord and violence on our streets now is certainly based in the politics of the left from the anti-capitalists on if you want violence and damage that's where you will find it.
We should learn from history and be wary of letting the left run amok in our streets stirring up discourse.
