Washingtons Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser and Democrat Governor Jay Inslee like the rest of us did not expect the Trump demonstrators to walk on through like they did breaking the doors..

Once in, they walked round like a bunch of tourists let off the leash.

I didn't see any organisation for breaking through the entrances.

Hate and violence is a trademark of left wing demonstrations and that is when the riot police would normally be out in force.

You didn't see any organisation because it was done on-line before the event. There were many groups, each with their own agenda - some were there to make a point, some were there to kill. You must have seen the members of one group, done up in full camo and military gear, pushing their way through the crowd in a military style line to get to the front. They weren't there for a spelling bee. Or the Lt Colonel with a fist full of zip ties. Was he there to join a macrame group in the chamber?
Looking at your list of so-called left wing riots you seem to have some insight that others don't.... football riots are left wing activists?
And don't be so naive about BLM riots in recent times. The FBI has identified many right wing activists who were responsible for the mayhem during those protests. Funny but the above incidents appear to happen following an injustice occurring to Black people.

While repeating he had been cheated, without ANY verified evidence. Courts throwing out his efforts in disgust. Giulani now faces losing his NY licence to practice for his behaviour.

Yet these people still believe him. People for whom he has contempt. There is some kind of repressed anger venting here and he has unleashed it.

But we should not overestimate these loud oafs. How do the 70 million plus who DID vote for him feel now, as they watch his ego drag the US into anarchy? My guess is that millions of ordinary Americans will never vote for him again.

Classic whataboutery at it’s most blatant, do not condone or excuse violence as a form of protest, but you site a collection of incidents from different causes, some incidentally in response to violence they were met with.

Very few if any stemmed from promotion of lies and misinformation from so called leaders of the country, bringing in football hooliganism as some sort of comparison is ludicrous, remember at no time were protests and riots purely political from just one side of politics.

Your right wing hero overstepped it totally, is now frantically trying to distance himself from the results.

What is strange is that many of Trump’s ardent defenders and supporters within the Republican Party, were opposed to Trump before he gained the Presidency, in fact many were even then warning as to how Trump would conduct himself and the Presidency, yet they then fell into line when it looked to be politically expedient to do so.

I know, I'm bewildered by it. It's an alternate universe. I've seen a montage of people like Ted Cruz, Lyndsey Graham et al whose comments pre his election are juxtaposed against their later sycophancy. They seem incapable of being embarrassed or feeling shame.

There was no great organisation to the Capitol storming.

Odd people as always came to make trouble but overwhelmingly it was a spontaneous event from a protest march.

Hundreds of demonstrators wandering around taking pictures is not the actions of an organised mob, sorry but the facts are there for all to see and many of the protestors were happy to be interviewed afterwards.

Contrast the aftermath with many BLM protests where buildings were left in flames and ransacked.

That same day Congress was back up and running.

Yeah, rumours started incredibly in the Capitol building immediately after
the riot, by Matt Gaetz and pounced on by the people with the most to gain...I'll give you a clue, it's not the Democrats. They are already in power.

And more telling was the silence from the Democrats during the five months of unrest. During which time armed mobs stormed courthouses and police stations, and took over parts of Portland and New York with little or no opposition for months !
