Nowhere near Southport but a turn of events that was not anticipated. Incredibly anti establishment. Is this the future of politics?

'In 2015 the then mayor of Tower Hamlets earned the dubious distinction of being Britain’s first directly elected mayor to be removed after being found guilty of electoral fraud.
Rahman was slapped with a five-year ban on standing for elected office after the Election Court reported him to be ‘personally guilty’ of ‘corrupt or illegal practices or both.’ Judge Richard Mawrey said he'd ‘driven a coach and horses through election law and didn't care...’

Old Tony eh. Still around.
In 2018, he was expelled from the Labour Party over accusations of anti-semitism.
Out of interest, where is Tony's article from?

Wrong - the Jewish anti Zionist was not expelled from the Labour party for antisemitism.
The letter was published in the Brighton Argos - a publication which, it has to be admitted, is to the left of the Spectator.
This is old Peter Oborne. Still around. He writes for the Daily Mail which, it has to be admitted, is to the left of the Spectator. Here he is talking about the crude attempt that was made to deny the democratic will of voters in Tower Hamlets using outdated repressive 18C laws. Yesterday's result It is a stunning victory for Rahman where democracy has, for now, triumphed.

Really?
Expelled Labour member given restraining order preventing contact with party’s complaints team
(Tony Greenstein) was expelled from the Labour Party in February 2018 over a series of offensive tweets he sent fellow members.
These included the use of the word Zio, which a 2016 report commissioned by the party into antisemitism said had “no place in party discourse”.
Greenstein, whose father was a rabbi, subsequently co-founded Labour Against the Witchhunt, a collection of former members expelled over anti-Semitism.
In November last year, he lost a libel case against the CAAS who had described him as a “notorious anti-Semite”.
The high court judge said that given his public statements, this was a reasonable opinion for the CAAS to hold.
