No-one has said starvation looms, what is at stake is increased prices for no real reason, that is already happening with normal foodstuffs and products, possibly not entirely due to Brexit, but Brexit isn't helping, even economists are stating clearly that there is a price to pay over Brexit, but with no discernible benefit.

It was never a goal of the EU to address that, and it has little in the way of mechanisms to achieve it if it was. It focused more on overall prosperity, on which it has done a good job.

And as far as wealth distribution is concerned the UK hardly needs any help in rewarding the rich.

We have done worse than most and at least in many EU countries the welfare net is far more generous.

And you apparently support a government which has made this worse in the last ten years, and even in the fundamental issue of social care , years after claiming to have a solution, decided to hit the poor more than the wealthy.

By 2010 Labour had taken 1m children and 1m pensioners out of poverty.
By 2015 the Tories had put them all back in again, by 2022 that has risen.

It's all very well to come up with the statement "all time high" the fact remains we are one of the most unequal countries in Europe and indeed the world, you condemn the EU for something of which we are even worse.

It was never intended to, nor tried, to impose cultural and political uniformity on its members ; one of the reasons why our "sovereignty" argument was always bogus.
It would be a major surprise if across over 30 countries and 450 million people, there would not be racism somewhere. I don't like what is happening in Poland and Hungary, for example. But their ability to pursue their own path demonstrates the fraud behind our sovereignty claims.
And at least EU citizens can use the ECJ route to call their governments to account. By contrast our government is busy eliminating constraints on its actions.

It was never intended to, nor tried, to impose cultural and political uniformity on its members ; one of the reasons why our "sovereignty" argument was always bogus.
It would be a major surprise if across over 30 countries and 450 million people, there would not be racism somewhere. I don't like what is happening in Poland and Hungary, for example. But their ability to pursue their own path demonstrates the fraud behind our sovereignty claims.
