Trump is going to open up the churches
Trump is going to overrule the governors and open up places of worship
Does this nutcase really want the world to end? First he puts plans in motion to rebuild The Temple. Now he wants to make the rapture logistically easier.

He's got an eye on the election. He wants the support of the religious nuts. In this case the white, right, 'pro'-life bunch.
He's nothing if not utterly transparent.
Ironically, most don't believe in evolution, yet it seems they'll be up for a Darwin Award. Once again, it'll clean up the gene pool somewhat.

Toodles, you're fond of that gene pool line. I recommend caution, there! It hints at one of Francis Galton's less savoury ideas.

I am. And in this case, I'm not wrong.

The irony of people praying to the "good person" that sent the virus, to take it away, is not lost on my agnostic mind.
Open the Churches if that's what they want, the Americans or should I say a lot of them are obsessed with religions of all hues.
It's not just Trumps supporters who want them open his diametric opposites do.
Leave it to their "Jesus" or whoever to decide the ones he wants back.

…also, you're muddying understanding of the concept of evolutionary 'fitness', and Chas Darwin's insights, generally.
Circumspection is warranted. You are (inadvertently, I hope) associating yourself with nasty folk and it is an ungenerous attitude toward people who are not greatly different from yourself, except in their political outlook.

The problem though is that the virus then spreads to the atheists and agnostics who don't .........But wait! That's the plan. The Lord protects the faithful and punishes the non-believers. Cunning!

The reality is Saids Flu as i have christened coronavirus is in the population.
Sitting at home only suppresses it and unless we want to shut ourselves away for what could be years we have to accept its here.
I wonder how the free movement fans feel, I haven't heard them clamouring for free access for a while ?
Masks and social distancing for the vulnerable is it for the foreseeable until we have a better understanding of the virus.
As an aside we still haven't got the lesser common cold sorted so don't hold your breath or maybe you should ................. a bit.

Nothing to do with political outlook. Nothing to do with eugenics. I'm associating with no one.
If idiots wish to congregate en masse in the middle of a pandemic, that's their outlook.
They are deserving of a Darwin Award, in my opinion. Which, as I said, is ironic as they generally dismiss evolution.
I'll save my tears for those whom they infect afterwards.

I think this is true. But social distancing in places of worship is very difficult. Workable perhaps in churches where there is standing, kneeling and sitting, but much more difficult in mosques where there is prostration. I note that a Lutheran church in Berlin has offered the church to an imam who can only fit half his congregation in the mosque.

We could always quarantine them in the churches for 14 Days
Job sorted.

This is not accurate, Muddy. The mosques were closed, but opened up again in low risk areas with compulsory masks and social distancing. This did seem to mean a rise in infections though.
