No, I mean how is whether or not I signed the petition relevant?
And do you think that previously to this person being sacked 18 months ago, he declared he might supply class A drugs?
The subject is 'should MPs get massively subsidised meals when not feeding kids in poverty?' You're deflecting again, away from the actions of the government, trying to put the spotlight on a person who was employed by a campaign group, then was sacked for his actions.
Whataboutery. That knee jerk reaction in the face of criticism of the Tories. No discussion on the issue, just whataboutery.

You struggle to get a burger in a budget chain for them prices, even spoon can't compete with them!

The job involves travelling and staying there late so providing a meal isn't much of a deal.
Its probably somewhere near the cost price.
I wouldn't begrudge Margeret Ferrier a meal before the strain of spreading covid on the train.
Are we expecting them to wander around London or bring sandwiches?

Is that the first time her name's been mentioned on this site? I'm certain Dominic Cumming's name has been mentioned on one or two threads more than a few times...

It doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t pay the going rate.
When I was a truck driver back in the 80’s, I used to go down to London three times a week. I used to get to sleep in the truck, and I got a night out allowance of £7.50. No subsidised restaurants serving high end food, £7.50 would get me burger, chips and a brew.

From the menu posted it would just seem to be at or around cost I really don't see a problem with it unless your names Rashford.

You 'liked' the post to sign the petition.
I have discussed it at length.

Judging by the number of Ministers, Prime Ministers and sundry MP's who have admitted partaking of assorted substances I would expect that there are a good few dealers vying their trade in the Houses of Parliament.

The HoP catering received a subsidy of £2.3m in 2017-8, there is a footnote on the accounts that this is lower than normal due to the snap election meaning the snouts where in troughs elsewhere.
Add on inflation and it probably equates to over a million meal deals kids could have received.
https://www.parliament.uk/site-infor...subsidy-20181/
The Daily Fail has the figures even higher at £4.4m, I'm sure that their readers will prefer that figure.

Ingredient costs but no cooking and serving cost add on an uplift for the 'Prestige Venue' and those costs are way way below market price.
Just found this from a trip to London near the HoP last year;-

I wonder why, with such a great majority in the commons, the Tories haven't moved to outsource the catering to a private contractor?
Perhaps make the alcohol ban permanent too.
Don't go to bed angry. Stay up and plot your revenge.

Why don't you mention it to the Speaker Labours Lindsay Hoyle although you might have to wait till we have finally left the EU as Parliament is a contracting authority as specified in the European Parliament and Council Directive, so are subject to EU Public Sector Procurement directives.
Then we can have a better sourcing policy as well

As I pointed out on another thread - this simply is not true. The Government have made £63 million available to Local Authorities to address this, using - whatever means are appropriate locally - that's £43 million more than those stamping their feet over free school meals would have them spend.
Sefton are, or have announced they will be doing this.
There's plenty to gripe about with this Government but claiming they are refusing to feed kids in poverty simply isn't true.
