They used to have a golf course there as well,i had a ball robbed on the green by a local scally some years back

I could see Ashurst Beacon from our back window in Guildford Rd and my sister used to live in Appley Bridge (I've sent her the pic to see if she remembers it).
Stadium in Wigan's a bit different to the old Central Park too. Thanks for the memories!!

You don't realise how bit the stadium is then you see it on that pic. It looks really impressive, still miss central park though think it had a better atmosphere.

My missus and I were season ticket holders at Central Park (Whitbread Stand) and the number of times we said "Why haven't we brought the camera?"
Now it's part of Tesco's car park.
