Notices have been placed on a tree on Liverpool Road, Ainsdale to try to deter drivers parking on the grass verge.
Looks like this Fiesta driver has ignored it though ...

It's funny ( or sad ) how people think they own the road outside thier property. I had one fellow on Liverpool rd come out to me shouting while my little lad was with me, they were right tho it seems if you raz a transit van up and down a few times with the wheels spinning the area does turn to mud.

It is good that some people take a pride in their homes and the regions around it - pity there are not more who would do so, though there are some who take this a bit far.
Cars and parking are a massive problem all across the UK - if councils want to attract more people to an area they should provide suitable parking for all vehicles - I can understand that car owners do not want to park on a very busy road, but they really should find an alternative to ruining the appearance of an area. It is not just grass that is damaged, there are areas where flagstones have become broken and unsightly.

There's a feature on Facebook, 'Parking like a t**t in Southport' with accompanying photographs. It illustrates what idiots some people are.

Are you proud of that he probably cuts the grass and looks after it, then some clown comes and parks where they shouldn't and thinks it is worth showing his son how to act like a TW*T by ruining it.
No wonder the town is going downhill too many ar*E*oles who don't give a toss about anyone.

As it happens I was initialy parked quite sensibly facing the correct direction and only the nearside wheels were just on the grass inside the curb, the chap came out aggressive probably feeling that his life had amounted to protecting a bit of grass out side and away from his property but this time he picked the wrong person, we were shocked at his aggression, son was frightened by his sudden shouty appearance.
I of all people am known to generally get on with most and respect peoples property and feel if someone wants to cut the grass or plant flowers around an on street tree outside thier house i totally get it, but coming out with aggression to me for such a trivial parking stance made me think he was as sad as you are with your comments and deserved showing that i wont stand for his bull like i wont stand for yours so go and boil your fat head

Mick/Gilly. You are selfish and inconsiderate.
Please post your address so we can come round spoil the area.
You, of course, must promise not to be upset and shout at us.
You are selfish and inconsiderate.
I await your reasoned argument in support of your actions, but I suspect your response will just be a foul mouthed instruction or a personal insult.
P.S.
I feel sorry for your son who has you as a role model. "Son do not respect others just do what you want. If anyone disagrees with what you are doing just swear at them"

What a lovely person you are with such eloquence too, you didn't mention that you were in the wrong parking a large goods vehicle on the grass verge. The fact that the truth hurt when he obviously pointed out to you what you were. As for causing damage and admitting it I hope the Police come knocking at your door you can tell them to go boil their head too, although I think it would be more expletive laden.

Anyway that's my story good or bad, you are now accusing me of swearing and being a bad father, totally disrespectful of people and property in general, I am the only one in the world that has parked 2 wheels on a grass verge down there and suggest I should be more diplomatic towards angry people that shout at me and frighten my young son ( gave me a shock aswell ) , we have a main complainant backed up by relatively new users like trollIng , such nonesense you are.
I have nearly 90 friends following me on this site and another up to 200 all that have met me in real life and will personally tell you I am a good egg, some even suggesting this should be called the Mick/gilly website ( jokingly ) unlike you a lonely unknown keyboard champion.
You have got it wrong matey I am a good chap in general liked by most ( message any of my friends on my list on here and ask them ) I don't think go boil your head was an expletive since 1930.
Part of being a good egg is admitting when you are wrong so maybe I over reacted a bit after all I am not used to people not liking me .
How many friends do your accounts have on here how many qlocalers have you met personally , who could give a good account of you.
It's times like this when it would be helpful if people that I have met or those on my list came forward and say what they think of me, the ones that have have moved, worked and made friends with .
Then after you are convinced of your mistake that one minor problem I have had does not make me a monster with false allegations of swearing I'll send you my address and you can come round for afternoon tea, you can bring the police with you if you like. I have moved half of them around this town some are on my list .

So it wasn't you that was 'razzing' a transit up and down a few times with the wheels spinning ... you had merely parked two wheels on the outer edge of the grass verge?

Initially I had parked 2 wheels an inch over the curb on the outside edge of the patch of grass verge as folk do so as traffic can pass easier and safer , I understand that parking like that fiesta is not acceptable, the phrase raz up and down implies I was turning donuts and turning it into a potatoe field and that may have been a bit over zealous of me to say, it wasn't as bad as that but I did spin away after his shouty episode basically trimming the kerbstone, strangely I did not shout or swear at this chap as it all happened in a flash.
He made me jump and shocked my little lad so all in all one skid mark deserves another, anyway in the last 3 yrs it grew back ok and I do fully understand the dilemma of having this surface outside your house, I haven't had transits for a long time in fact I had a top electric bike for the last 2 years ( so I could ride around with little lad easier ) until lately purchasing a small car that I won't be parking there again as I can't be doing with the stress of people coming out screaming at me.
Yea it wasn't the best way to act, maybe I am only 99% a good egg.
