Wonder why a mass Mosque shooting in NZ makes major world news, but a bombing of a Catholic church (killing at least 17) doesn't ?

The church bombing in the Philippines did receive national coverage in January of this year. I don't mean to diminish the tragedy in any way, but it was in an area that has suffered from armed conflict for many years, and the area is a stronghold for terrorist groups. Sad to say, but attacks in areas like this become so commonplace that we are not as shocked when they occur.

The attack was targeted at the Military, the first bomb was to draw them in and the second one did the damage killing 14 soldiers.

There are discrepancies given by witnesses to those shown on the footage possibly die to the confusion at the time.
Not sure there's any 'supposedly' about it. I can't quite understand your use of the word 'coincidences' either. Whatever the point of your statement is, this is surely a thread to offer condolences, not investigate conspiracy theories.
Have some respect.

Yes, they reckon that it was a Bali style attack. However the civilian casualties and injured were far higher than the military. 14 soldiers were injured, not killed.
The death toll increased to 23: 16 civilians, 6 soldiers, 1 Coast Guard member.
95 people were wounded: 77 civilians, 14 soldiers, 2 policemen, 2 Coast Guard members.

Agreed. I also have to say that Concerned's post, where the sentiment underlying his comment seems to be why do we give more coverage to Muslim lives lost in terrorist attacks, is also highly inappropriate on this thread.
If the thread degrades into this type of a debate, I will close it.
