Travellers wreaking havoc in Southport
Just overheard a Security Guard speaking to reception staff that there has been trouble at Wetherspoons and at Maloneys, with bottles being thrown and windows being smashed.. One of the travellers mothers WAS in the DGH but has since been discharged, but one of the travellers who was visiting the patient by car has suffered a heart attack.. So the Security and the police are being watchful at the DGH as to any violent travellers arriving here.. I am at the DGH now, as my partner is having treatment in a ward off casualty dept.

It's typical of the the gypo's wherever they travel they cause mayhem.
Whenever they leave you never hear the locals wishing them well and hoping they come back.
What amazes me is that people are prepared to employ them.

People do not employ them - they have to work for themselves, people are not that silly!

Surely, if someone asks them to do some work for them then THAT is employment!
Even if on a casual basis!

I presume you meant wouldn't.
Not everybody is aware that the person they may be giving a job to is a traveller, many stick leaflets through doors and often use a mobile phone number.

Is there anywhere in this thread the police have said travellers were involved or is as I've said just a load
of verbal diahorea.
Hearsay / Gossip
I do understand the perception of travellers but there's a lot who are decent people amongst them who just fall line out of fear.

It's nice to know they get NHS treatment, after all their income tax and National Insurance must go some way towards buying a box of matches. Vermin.
