Land Rover Defenders are hot property nowadays - so no wonder this Scarisbrick man did his best to stop two Scousers stealing it.
This from the Ormskirk and Burscough Police FB page:
'At about 5.45am on Saturday 13th April we were notified about the theft of a grey Land Rover Defender from the driveway of an address in the Bescar Brow Lane area of Scarisbrick. The vehicle, registration WF12UDV, is described as having a distinctive large roof rack and rear ladders and it remains outstanding as stolen at this time.
During the theft, the victim challenged the offenders and made attempts to prevent their escape unfortunately suffering injuries in the process.
Thankfully, his injuries are not serious.
The offenders are described as two men in dark clothing, both with Liverpool accents. Anyone with any information please contact Police on 101 quoting reference 0265 of April 13th or contact independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

Hope the owner recovers quickly. Hope the scum who stole the vehicle are caught and severely punished.
