Well Boris got what he wanted, let's just see if he is half as good as he clearly thinks he is, his cabinet ministers jumping ship, currently doesn't remotely enjoy unity in the Tory party, yet talks glibly of uniting the country, good luck with that when for a good portion of the country has the popularity level of herpes.
I am old enough to remember the days when we as a country sat back smugly and watched various countries switch PMs, governments and policies with the regularity of changing our socks.
Oh how we laughed at the bumptious, self important pantomime characters who finished up as leaders of these unfortunate countries, now look at how far we have fallen, I fear for our future.

I wonder if smiler will get a job in the cabinet?
Minister for photo opportunities maybe!

I'm just glad it's Fat Al. If it had been one of the actual politicians, they'd have been in power for ages without an election.
Can't wait to see the EU deal with him. He'll do a quick tour of Europe doing his 'hail fellow well met' fakery. Then they'll deal with him the same way as Davis and the rest.
Marvellously entertaining stuff.

Endorsed by the orange one as Britain's Trump (they like me over there) ... doesn't that say it all? My deepest sympathies, although I must admit I'm looking forward to hours of entertainment watching the resulting dumpster fire

Fat Al's Shitshow. He won't like taking orders from the ERG. And they won't take any from him. Going to be interesting, to say the least.
His acceptance speech was another steaming pile. Seemingly written in the car on the way there. Loads of waffle, no substance. Tents fall down if you ping off the guy ropes, Fat Al.
I thought it was hysterical.

That will pass straight over most people’s heads.Except of course those of a “certain age” #MPFC ?

I watched it too. I was particularly impressed with "Dude, we are going to energise the country" I can see why people think he's Churchillian.
I had to laugh at Ivanka Trump's Tweet: "Congratulations @BorisJohnson on becoming the next Prime Minister of the United Kingston"

The collective whining is in full flow,
the reality dawns that the dysfunctional Boris's coronation makes the Corbyn victory a more distant pipe dream weighs heavily in loser lefty land.

I don't live in the UK, so nothing to lose. Johnson, Corbyn, or Dicky Lewis, it doesn't affect my life one iota. But, I know a prattling fool when I see one. All foam and no beer.

Not everything - no! But he does not do anything about it - so that make him complicit!

.
Yes, the expressed beliefs in his being "Churchillian" are silly.
Winston Churchill's work ethic and productivity are the stuff of hard-earned legend. Boris Johnson doesn't strike me as a grafter!

She only visited the capital last month. It seems it doesn't take long for the London-centric attitude to take hold!

Of course, it was only a couple of months ago that a comedian became the President of Ukraine, following on from his landslide election victory.
In a way, bumbling Boris is the natural successor to a previous Prime Minister that John Crace (who coined 'Maybot') used to regularly and expertly pillory in his very amusing Guardian columns...

Corbyn doesn't seem to require any help in lessening his own chances of becoming Prime Minister.

I dont live in the UK either but I'll reserve judgement. Maybe (and I stress maybe) Boris is a lot smarter than many are giving him credit for. Could he perhaps, in the long run, make fools of his detractors?
Just be yourself, no one else is better qualified!!
