As much as possible, I already do! I also support our own local trades people as they have to support their own families here in our country. I prefer the flavour of British butter, British cheeses and would not trust anything other than British meat from a British butcher. I like British whole milk in preference to supermarket milk and British fruit but for obvious reasons bananas, oranges, coffee and tea etc., have to be imported.

And I drink Yorkshire Tea and eat Branston Pickle.
Just be yourself, no one else is better qualified!!

I buy based on quality and value for money. Beyond that, goods produced closer to home have preference, since they will generally have a lower carbon footprint based on miles shipped. E.g, I'd rather buy E.U. or U.K. product in preference to Far-Eastern/U.S. product.
Your instruction not to buy German sausages etc, reminds of old family tales from the 1st WW, when people here boycotted the local German sausage-maker. Let's hope the Germans, French, etc don't begin to feel likewise, or future U.K..exports to the E.U. (our biggest customer) will certainly suffer.

Don't agree with that, at all.
After all, that's a list of ingredients for a delicious party .

The Tea although our national drink has an awful lot of miles under its belt.
Its picked by poor people, transported by poor people, processed by poor people and packed by poor people before being shipped here,
good old "Yorkshire" Tea
Its truly a celebration of our former selves.

I visit the European Colonial Society countries and accept their failures and successes of the past as history.
Brexit is moving on not propping up.

I think the relevant term here is 'where possible'. While it's commendable to support British businesses, for families on a low budget, it isn't always practical.
And as many have pointed out, what appears to be British might not be. I assume there's no tea or coffee in any shop that is British. Nor is there a tin of baked beans. Olive oil? No chance. Flour for pasta?
It's a wonderful gesture, but somewhat limiting when it comes to the family shopping.
