Very little actually as I prefer to read a good book or entertain myself with my hobbies. Modern TV bores me so I only really watch the news once or twice a day to keep up with what's happening in the world. I used to watch Time Team many years ago as it was both entertaining and factual, so it was a sad day when they stopped making it and I haven't bothered with much else since. I guess that makes me a boring old f*rt.

Time watching television
Not so much really. I only have a few favourite programmes, most now are on digital channels. I have two Now Music channels 80's and 90's so instead of being in silence I'll chop and change between those two. Don't watch much on BBC or ITV anymore as most of it is either rubbish or full of non entities

I occasionally put one of the news channels on, on mute, whilst my favourite music is playing. I do not believe in television anymore. The Internet, especially YouTube is far more interesting to me as I can pick the subject/genre I want to watch. I'm currently watching 'Bald and Bankrupt' and old episodes of Dragons Den. I also have a Netflix account.

I have the news on in the background while I work, so it's on for quite a long time during the day. Actually watching it is another thing. Bits filter through until something interesting comes on.
As for watching shows, I'd say 3-4 hours a day. Better half likes soaps, which again just filters through. I like a good documentary and love an apocalyptic drama. I could watch 'The Walking Dead' all day.
I've got subscriptions to Netflix and Amazon, so I'll binge a series then watch nothing for ages. All just depends what's on.

Well i am a bore, 2 hours in the morning the TV is on just for the noise. I put the TV on for The Chase & news. Then it is the soaps, Corrie & Emmerdale. Love the Chris Tarrant series on 5 about his train travels & real life murder cases on Quest Red. Probabally 5 hours in the evening

So far, the response is about half and half. Some are disillusioned with the TV while others are great fans. Interesting - no wonder the licensing people are becoming worried.

Mr Hamble does 3D printing in the winter.
Summer is garden and cycle.
TV for both of us is an evening hobby.

If I'm in the telly is on simply for noise, usually the news channel can't say as I'm watching though.
When I get in from work I'll put on Pointless simply because it light TV to wind down to, I'll leave the news on after but again I'm normally pottering about so don't actually watch it.
I'm terms of what I'd say I actually sit down to watch usually from 9pm so 2 - 3 hours a day on average.

we watch hardly any live programs....death in paradise, two and half men and thats it, and they are all repeats!!!!,,we watch only box sets...the persueders (my favorite ever) most nights, dads army, fools and horses, black adder, fawlty towers and thats it..modern programs are just to gloomy and depressing...films, again dvds, bourne trilogy, chevy chase trilogy, and a few others....new films, programs just dont entertain, they are gloomy and try to be too cool...and politically correct..

I used to like the dragons den ,butin its later episodes, became a bit sceptical as their egoes started to come out, cant help but feel a lot of their rejections seem to bear a taste of conflicting intrests! charlatism.better a program on a similar theme that promotes and nurtures peoples desire to set up and get going.remember those small buisses employ a lot of equally committed employees ,all be it on a small scale ,yet of import to the smaller ,yet bigger part of our communities.bigger cant get by without the little gnomes in the background.

I dislike that programme so much it comes under stuff Mr Hamble watches whilst I am in the shower or ringing mother.
