Dunes lesiure centre car park is closed after a group of Travellers set up camp there. Signs places on the locked gates are advising customers to use the rear entrance until further notice.

Why is nothing ever done to handle these freeloading, antisocial shower, before anyone says it, I don't expect some hapless traffic warden to go out there and ticket these vehicles, I do expect sufficient numbers of police to move them on very quickly, don't give the scum chance to settle, all this crap regarding racial or ethnicity issues is pure BS.
Move them as soon as possible after they turn up, don't give them the chance to settle, they will soon decide the area is no longer easy territory, if everyone takes the same line they may just stay home instead of being a constant nuisance to everyone.

Welcome to soft touch Southport.
Doubtless they'll move on soon to another wide open site such as Meols Park where the gaping holes in the cylce path fence that the last lot entered the site through still haven't been repaired.

Oh! Just fine! That is exactly what they want - total privacy! These people already appear to have been given the Freedom of the town to do exactly what they want to do at the expense of law abiding local people. So if I go and get a caravan and set up anywhere I want - I can go around doing anything legal or otherwise and not get done for it? Right?

Another daft post blaming Sefton.
Again - Sefton Council are bound by something I like to call 'the law'. This prevents them from acting against these people without due regard to the law.
As a Local Authority they are not permitted to act in a maverick fashion as they would risk being held to account for those actions.
Seeing as there are so many of you posting on here demanding a bit of 'macho improvement', why not grow a pair yourselves and go down to Splashworld to have a full and frank exchange of views with the travellers.
