They are abusing their position in Westminster to further their own interests. They each knew what the Conservative stance was for Brexit. They could have left the Party long ago if they disagreed with the Conservative Agenda, and they could have left when Boris Johnson was elected into office - why didn't they? There are 650 Conservative MP's in Parliament - only a handful refused to support the leader who was voted in by their own Party. At least those who did not support the Labour leader - had the decency to leave the Party. I hope the creeps are thrown out!

Mogg's constituency voted to remain as did David Davies, Steve Baker, Crispin Blunt, Chris Grayling, Liam Fox, Cheryl Gillan, John Redwood, Dominic Raab, Theresa Villiers, Peter Lilly, Graham Brady & Iain Duncan Smith, to name but a few !

Sounds like they're putting their personal interests before their electorate...…...no?

Oops, they've just lost another vote.

Fat Al de Piffle should start up his 'political elite vs the people' shtick pretty soon. Hope it's going to be a bit better than his calling people 'chicken' defence. More a crap comedian trying to deal with hecklers than the Prime Minister of the UK at PMQs today.

In case you hadn't noticed I am some 12,000 miles away and wouldn't know anything about Littlejohn's or the Mail's reputation. So I'll put it another way....Did the article (in spite of who wrote it) sum up the current Brexit situation, or not?

I suppose that living in a part of the world governed by Murdoch the Merciless, this type of acerbic journalism is probably the norm.

If you did not know much about the Mail and Littlejohn, I wonder what made you think the article "summed up" the admittedly chaotic political scene.

The Daily Mail, like much of the popular press here is a right-wing Tory propaganda rag, imho

As for Littlejohn: this journalist is infamous here for his nastiness and I, personally, dislike him intensely. So my own view is that the article is nothing other than a bile-ridden extreme version of the hate mentality that I associate with Brexiters.

There are plenty of reputable and objective news sources from around the world that may offer a better perspective on the subject.

The truth is many parties have Brexit splits,
    Conservative and Labour ones are well played out but even the Liberal Democrats when they forgot the Democrat bit had Norman Lamb supporting the referendum outcome ;

Given the vote of the British people on June 23rd, I am not prepared to vote to block the triggering of Article 50 when the bill is brought before Parliament.

Irrespective of my views of the outcome of the referendum, there is a democratic principle at stake, and I feel very strongly about this. When we voted to hold the referendum, we did not set out any preconditions for triggering Article 50, in the event of a vote to leave the EU. I do not see how we can introduce them now. I have therefore made the difficult decision to abstain on this vote

His honorable position is as true now as then and perhaps if all MP's had
remembered this we wouldn't have the current situation in Parliament.

Still we will grind on to an election (as it currently stands) and the people who have had democracy trashed can have another vote, the biggest problem is so many have been put off voting by the antics of the anti-democracy extremists.

Even President Macron warned us we must accept the sovereign decision to leave.

How the EU fanatics reconcile staying in the EU when even their mainstay member leaders are telling us to leave is for them to juggle their consciences with.

King Boris was chosen as he is a winner apparently . . . .

Now it looks as if the only way he’s going to get an election is to call for a vote of no confidence in himself (!) - and to ask his own party to vote him down . . . .which they might well do - but their ( minority) votes would be defeated by the (Majority) National Unity Alliance who would vote to keep Boris as PM . . . . For the moment. It’s compelling stuff.

Moreover - When the ‘Brexit Delay’ Act passes through the Lords and to its final commons vote on Monday , there is talk that BoJo will refuse to take it to the Queen for its Royal Assent. . . .

The Lyin King may yet end up in the Tower

Need some more popcorn for Monday’s episode
Whatever it is - I blame Brexit!

I didn't "think" anything. I noticed reference to the headline whilst researching something else and asked the question out of interest. All I got from you was an insult about medication and your clearly biased opinion on the matter.

In my opinion, I didn't read a word of truth in that article. It's typical Daily Heil bile and bullcrap.

Again, I'd ask which particular laws he wants changing.

Nobody bothered when Brown was an unelected PM? I recall the loudest squealing came from the current unelected PM.

A Marxist throwback will bankrupt Britain? As has been proven over and over, the economy has fared better under the Labour than the Tories.

But I did enjoy the comments. Absolute gold! I can imagine their gammon heads exploding in rage. So funny

Royal Assent happens when a Bill is sent by Parliament to the Royal Commissioners, approval is automatic.

The Queen’s Consent is occasionally denied, but Royal Assent can never be denied.

The only thing BoJo needs to take to the Queen is his resignation.
