Hardly a coup. If the majority of MPs want the current government out, including some of the current government, then the leader of the opposition would normally become acting PM.
Johnson can bend Parliamentary rules to suit himself, but if the opposition follow the rules, it's a 'coup'?
Don't think so.

Of course he can.Boris is PM and it is within his remit to postpone Parliament.
Corbyn's plan was to take power that he could not win within Parliamentary rules-a Coup!
Good job the Lib Dem leader told him straight away that he was political poison.

It is of course just another remoaner trip out to annoy people.
If the same people were demonstrating about the bigger threat to our democratic system,
the failure of Parliament to carry out the will of the people,
they might have some legitimacy but no the hypocrites won't be bothering about anyone else.
Remainer reactions do seem to have scaled giddy, new heights:

The same Lib-Dem leader that's firmly on side now? Gobshitery. Nothing more.
If this was Corbyn's plan, he's cutting it a bit fine, isn't he?
Johnson can postpone Parliament, sure. But if it isn't that big a thing, why do it? All the wittering on about 'getting a deal', he never intended to get a deal, did he? An unelected Head of State has been forced by an unelected Prime Minister to take away power from 600 plus people who have actually been elected. And this was Corbyn's plan?
Brexit, from voters to Johnson and the ERG, was about racism and tax evasion. They want a no deal Brexit so they can pull out all of the EU anti-tax avoidance legislation that is in the Finance Act 2019.
The anti-tax avoidance becomes law on 31st December 2019 and they cannot kill this legislation while we are a member of the EU and they cannot kill it if have a trade deal with the EU.
Somebody is taking back control. Certainly not the average voter, whichever side they chose.
And this was Corbyn's plan all along?

Amazing, Corbyns the bad guy!
The biggest thing facing this country and the gigantic fraud prorogues parliament, why because the back slapping conference season is upon us. You couldn't make this sh**e up if you tried.

This farce is reaching its climax one way or another,
the people presently protesting against a government trying to enact the will of the people are to have yet another moment in the sun this week.
The stealing peoples votes movement desperate attempts to look respectable are shabby.
One thing you can take from this is how responsible and civilised the Brexiteers are putting up with these constant attacks on their votes and democracy.
In reality the wrong lot have taken to the streets.

This "will of the people" you place so much stress on, reality, a very slender leave majority based entirely on a catalogue of lies and BS, personally I can find little signs of any truth in the entire Brexit campaign.
Don't recall any remainers committing murder in support of "the cause" you call that civilised?
PS, you may just find that many leavers as well as remainers are decidely uneasy over Johnson's attempt to rule like some tin pot dictator, the issue isn't just Brexit alone, far from it.
No-one is above parliament in any democracy, Johnson is all about Johnson, you, me nor any of the majority of the population matter a toss in Johnson's world.

He spent a few days in Northern Ireland and returned as champion of a ‘troops out’ approach and, despite the wishes of its majority, has said the British would shed few tears when Northern Ireland ‘inevitably’ leaves the UK.
He was an unconditional euro-integrationist but eventually, after he left us, he recanted and said it had all been a horrible mistake. He has now returned to his earlier version of the British national interest, and proposes headfirst immersion in Europe. He is a well-oiled weathervane. Boris has been consistent and even courageous on this most important issue.
Its not fully determinative of character but it does throw a little light on Mr Hastings.
Johnson wrote at length about the merit of the EU several years before the referendum. He even did a TV piece about how good it would be for Turkey to be admitted.
Right up to the referendum nobody was sure which side he would support, and in the end went with Leave as it promised greater career potential.
Utter cynic.
Incompetent
Ego maniac

To be fair to our tonsorial Talisman he did an article on BOTH sides of the coin on the EU.
