Traffic chaos as Marine Drive closed for Air Show.
Large queues of traffic have started to build up over the Marine Way Bridge and the Promenade as the Marine Drive is now closed between the Pier and Pleasureland.
Drivers are advised to find an alternative route or face long delays.

Looks nothing like chaos. Bit of a traffic jam that we were told about in advance.
More overdramatic reporting!

Do you expect them to set everything up half an hour before it starts?

It's the same every year and has already be sign posted. You can't help stupid people.
Or do you think it all happens with a magic wand?

Interesting; you have remarked that it happens every year and disruption occurs. Then why doesn't Sefton Council's Traffic Engineers change the phasing on the traffic lights to encourage traffic flow? It's not rocket science to carry out this type of adjustment and they may even like what they do and then apply it to other events.

That is interesting however, I have no idea. Ask them and report your findings here.
