Air Show
This thing needs to be axed. It's a case of same old, same old every year.
They can't get the Red Arrows anymore because they either cost too much or they just don't want to come.
The public get overcharged for parking and entrance too. It should be free.

I used to work there and found it ever so boring. Same old stuff every year, worked there every year from 2008 until 4 years ago. Weather was always rubbish too. Whenever they held it, the weather would make sure that it would rain, be cloudy or just plain miserable so you can't see the aircraft.
I used to like seeing the Red Arrows though, they were the best bit about it.

Ha!Ha! When I clicked on your post - the photographs did not appear, so I thought you were being facetious about the air show, hence my comment. I now have the photographs, really great shots by the way - and I do apologise!

And you seem to have missed the fact that the Red Arrows are currently displaying in the USA and Canada.

.
The Red Arrows are in the USA for 3months.
Surely the fact they aren't here every year means it can't be the same old same old every year.
henever they held it, the weather would make sure that it would rain, be cloudy or just plain miserable so you can't see the aircraft.
Yes of course, the weather makes a conscious decision to do just that. Wonder why it chose not to do that this year. <strike>

This is exactly why I don't think it should be 'free'. Those that want to watch pay and those tax payers in the local area that don't do not.
Anyway this is about the pictures not the same drama as every year about who should pay.

It is admirable but a bit too oriented to military aircraft.
I would be very excited to see something like an A380 or a 747 make a low pass across the crowd. You could even sell seats on the aircraft.
Why not?
