More concerned with Johnson's war on anyone who doesn't subscribe to his agenda, he can't actually remove these people from parliament all he is doing is building more opposition, then when his plans hit the buffers the Buller Boy will stamp his feet and try to blame everyone else for his abysmal performance.

He's done a sterling job for 10 years and will go down in history as one of the greatest speakers. Recently he has been the saviour of our democracy by allowing parliament to challenge the government's increasing lunacy.
As he has just said in his resignation speech "We degrade this parliament at our peril".

Agreed. Might not like him as such, he seems like a bully. But that could be one-sided propaganda. I do recognise that he knows his stuff and he's carried out the role admirably. And fairly, particularly as he's a Tory. Which may be why he isn't popular with Tories...

If nothing else, he obviously loves the establishment that is the British Parliament.

He's well down the list of odious creatures, did a damn good job of keeping some semblance of order, of reminding some members just where they actually where, even though he's a Tory was possibly as even handed as it was possible to be, you say jump before pushed, think it's rather more could no longer be part of a party whose leader thinks he can ride rough shod over any semblance of democracy and free voting.

Surely even Johnson isn't so thick as to not see his parliamentary party heading for destruction.

Reading a Washington Post article about John Bercow this morning, I was struck by how many people wish they had a speaker of his ilk. Many Americans believe that theirs is the supreme democracy, but watching the events in the British parliament has caused them to question the truth of that. It's certainly caused them to question the lack of testicular fortitude of their own elected representatives. The orange one runs amok and nobody in his party dares question his judgement. Party before country is the name of their game.

Gordon Brown saved the country from total financial collapse when the financiers and "Masters of the Universe" screwed us over big time, that has been acknowledged by many countries and world leaders, but of course the gullible believe the Tory rhetoric that he somehow caused the crash, the worst ever PMs have got to be a choice from Thatcher, Cameron, May with No 1 total failure Johnson, for any PM to lose 6 votes out of 6 is not exactly an indicator of success.
