Been saying this for ages, but I didn't cotton on for a long time at first.

Similarly, very few people were the slightest bit bothered about the EU until they brought in this legislation. Then after it passed in Jan 2016, suddenly we just had to leave the EU.

Quite bizarre that we can tootle along for 40-odd years, then half the country can be suddenly convinced the Great Evil in the world is the single market that brings us cheap fresh food, worker's rights, etc.

The chap behind that effort is pulling the strings at 10 Downing Street and has just prorogued our Parliament to ensure the billionaires leave untouched. Given the Cambridge Analytica connections, I'd bet Russia has a hand in it too.

    Astounding.

The other reason for his date is that the new European commission takes office as of Nov 1st, of course Mr pig ignorant Johnson has not nominated a commissioner for the UK, official reason "we won't need a commissioner as we won't be in the EU as of Nov 1st", however Mr thicko thought that by not nominating a UK commissioner the EU would not be able to bring the new commission in to play with one member missing, thereby throwing as spanner in the works should his deadline fail.

The EU of course have carried on without him and will set up the commission with an empty chair.

Must be wonderful to think you're entitled enough to just breeze through and expect the world to do your bidding. Devastating when you're shown up as a spoilt little brat who has no clue what to do when the world turns around and says 'no'.

Harsh lesson, but when you've made a career out of lying, especially lying about the EU, it should be a foregone conclusion that they won't play ball. Intellectually and diplomatically, I imagine the urbane Monsieur Barnier could swat Fat Al and his wannabe-Churchill impression aside. It's break the law or Brexit Martyrdom for the 6 times loser, I reckon.

The taxes avoided by every single person in the UK accumulated are a mere drop in the ocean to what Brexit means. Tax avoidance can be dealt with under our OWN laws, we do not need an external ruling on what is right in the UK. We leave on the 31st October - stop crying!

You've always had that right, but have the loopholes ever been closed? No... I thought not. I wonder why that is?

Yes we could enact these laws in our own right, unfortunately in this country Tories have blocked any and every attempt to do this and even in the EU, Tories, UKIP, Brexit et al have voted against these proposals.

That's why they want out,so they can continue with tax evasion and avoidance, they think this tactic will attract money to the UK, may well be right, but this money will remain firmly in the financier's pockets, it is not in the DNA of financiers to donate THEIR profits to anyone.

As I have already posted your argument falls flat on the evidence that the wish to leave the EU is well documented for so many for decades.

But sitting on top of that is the rather obvious point that the Bullingdon club super toff Cameron campaigned to remain,

Supported by so many super rich mates, perhaps the Turkeys were voting for Christmas taxes.

To state my Socialist Worker influences the EU is a bosses club to exploit the poor.

The very simple way to address your concerns is vote Jeremy, inside or outside the EU he will bring about your left wing utopia , simple isn't it.

You've been in devisive binary choice mode for too long - unable to comprehend that the Labour party is the only one trying to hold this country together.

Just over half the voters voted to leave ... that means just under half voted to stay... and there's plenty of evidence that people have changed their minds (on both sides).

As I said on a similar thread, Labour are putting the national interest first by trying to get a better deal than TM's, and by also rejecting a no deal exit.

Then, by going back to the public and saying "this is the best we can get .... are you really sure" even though they may (or may not) be against it is indeed putting the national interest first.

Unfortunately some of the children in the playground won't see it that way because they want their own way (not what may be best for the country) and will have a tantrum accordingly.

As with all elections there are winners and losers which could mean in your new utopia Jeremy wins a majority but to hold the country together he has to keep on some Conservative Ministers and policies in case anyone's changed their minds.

The numbers of Conservative ministers will of course float subject to the remoaners beaufort scale.

Labour also goes to Brussels to negotiate a deal they (apart from their Union masters and many voters) don't want, now that is a cunning plan straight out of Baldricks top drawer..

A super double bluff we want a deal Mr Barnier but not to keep that will be hard fought won't it.

Did I mention Tom Watson who by your logic doesn't want to "hold the country together" pity he's the deputy leader.
