    Jeremy Still Wants Brexit

The news from Brighton is the arch hypocrite still wants Brexit, you really couldn't make it up but he has.

Labours manifesto will promise to reach a better Brexit deal, but is not expected to commit to either Leave or Remain.

Union leaders want Leave on the ballot and met Mr Corbyn earlier to discuss the issue.

How the remainers reconcile the jobs disaster predictions with the Brexit the unions want will be tiresome.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-49646544

So despite the recent nonsense in the commons with the collaboration of the opposition parties it appears it will be a very short relationship and normal service or expensive delay will continue soon.

He's offering a referendum with a choice of leave with a deal or remain.

    I don't have a problem with that.

Lib-Dems only offer remain. Conservatives offer get the hell out of there before the billionaires are affected.

    I prefer the choice.

Corbyn is living in cuckoo land - he changes his mind faster than the weather can change! There is a deal with the EU - and we leave on 31st October! If Corbyn's ideas were so popular - why is Labour losing voters by the greatest numbers since Foot? In fact - if you were in his position, and you were losing so many voters - surely you would ask your self why that is? He has not - which shows that he has already given up on a general election in his favour!

Methinks it's you who's living in cloud cuckoo land! There is no deal with the EU. The mantra of a little guy living in a small seaside town on the Northwest coast isn't going to suddenly make it true.

Have you had your head in a bucket all week?

Guess what? You are wrong! It has been agreed with the EU and the UK, that the UK leaves the EU! THAT is the deal!

Labour's plan to get a better deal than TM's efforts, then to put it back to the public to decide whether they want that better deal or no deal, is probably the only adult solution currently in the playground.

Johnson and his cohorts want to walk away to satisfy their own limited interests, no concern for the country or the majority of the population.

That is not a deal it's merely satisfying Johnson's power play, nothing more nothing less.

Theoretically, I think that a referendum on a new deal or remain is an attractive option.

However, do I have any confidence in Corbyn et al being able to negotiate a better deal that they can get through parliament? Fraid not!

So, likely outcome if you vote Labour and they get in:

    - Failure to negotiate a deal, or negotiate a deal that is worse than those we've already had.
    - Referendum result is to remain
    - We are stuck with a Labour Government spending millions on re-nationalising utilities and other crazy schemes

You have of course left out the bit where Labour campaigns against the deal they have just negotiated, how very adult

So who is going to negotiate this "better deal" to do something they now don't want to that should enthuse them.

    Maybe they should rewrite this;

    Negotiating Brexit
Labour accepts the referendum result and a Labour government will put the national interest first.

We simply cannot trust so many of the MP's to implement our instruction in any referendum, we have seen they cannot be trusted with our precious votes.
The anti-democracy extremists have delayed the peoples will for too long. They now want rewarding for their antics, to let them have their way is to permanently damage our country.

They have already ruined our countries reputation.

Every vote in the future will now carry a previously unheard of doubt about its certainty.

The democracy respecting majority have put up with them for too long.

The contract with the people was clear the government of the day promised to implement the vote outcome.
Parliament or at least most of them then voted to support the outcome with the article 50 vote with a huge majority.

No need to rewrite it because that's exactly what they have done, putting the national interest first by trying to get a better deal than TM's, and by rejecting a no deal exit.

Furthermore, the fact that they will then go back to the public and say "this is the best we can get .... are you really sure" even though they may (or may not) be against it is indeed putting the national interest first.

Unfortunately some of the children in the playground won't see it that way because they want their own way (not what may be best for the country) and will have a tantrum accordingly.

I'm quite happy with the idea of nationalised utilities. And railways. And a national bank. Much better than now, where they are mainly owned by foreign interests, taking the profits out of the country. Or privately owned and then we have to prop them up when it all goes tits up.

What other crazy schemes do you think he has, if you don't mind me asking?

Ghastly petty lot, imagine wanting what they voted for,

they should just grow up and take what the people who lost the vote want them to have.

Genius you could vote for Jeremy and get Boris with that thinking, you wouldn't mind would you ?

    That would be childish.

I don't see what people don't understand about this. I assume you're referring mainly to Emily Thornberry's appearance on QT where she said she'd negotiate a deal but wouldn't necessarily support it?

If Labour (or whoever) is in power, they have a duty to negotiate the best deal with the EU that they can. That is their job.

Then, regardless of that deal, if an individual wishes to remain, or even leave without a deal, surely they then have the right to campaign against it?

If you work for a company, and your job is to negotiate the best contract you can for that company, do you have to agree with it? Do your feelings come into it at all? Or can you just slip a few clauses in there just because you feel like it?

So if Fat Al has to go to Europe and get a deal, because that is his obligation under law, then he says he doesn't agree with that deal, he's being childish? Because that is far more likely, don't you think?
