    Bollox To Democracy

Jo Swindle and the oxymorons have finally lifted their pretence of respecting democracy with the revoke article 50 vote at their party conference.

The two faced ones were trying to con the public with their confirmatory second vote lies which some shallow thinkers fell for but now their off the fence and wish to rip up the countries and Parliaments votes.

Another wave of anti-democracy extremists show their colours .

The spirit of Putin and Mugabe will hang over our looming general election.

all politicians said they would respect the vote of brexit....now they have all proved to be utter liars...as for swinson...she is a scottish stooge for little crankey to break up the union via brexit...a complete change is needed in our politics with no reliance on vested interests, parliment is proven to be broken beyond repair...a new parliment is needed in the middle of the country with new rules...no ancient stupid procedures...politicians should be instantly be culpable to the people for wrong behaviour...if we vote for a conservative or labour mp etc they should not be able to change their party without the approval of the voters...they utterly disgust me

Jo Swindle Who? According to reports what was actually said was "They have pledged to cancel Brexit if they come into power at the next General Election" would'nt worry about it as its never going to happen and thank God for that. After a downward spiral of Clegg, Farron and then Cable you would have thought they couldn't possibly go any lower with their next leader, they have!

Governments often reverse the decisions of a previous administration. I don't see the problem myself - they are setting out their policies and if enough people agree and vote for them then they can be put into practice.

What? After Heath admitted that he only told the people some of the truth not all of it? Government lied at that time to persuade people to sign up - only later to learn the real truth. This is not like Brexit BTW - people either knew about the EU or they did not! It was very strange that just around the referendum time, the most popular question on social media is "What is the EU?"

In the Lib Dems 2017 manifesto, they make much of the public being lied to by May and Corbyn. Then go and do the same thing themselves! Just how many Napoleons can live in an asylum?

Putin... you're having a laugh surely? He's been hanging over you since self serving Cameron promised a referendum. Did you object to Russia's assault on UK democracy in the period before the referendum vote? Putin wasn't supporting remain, so perhaps it didn't bother you.

Still think there is a good chance this isn't going to happen, and I'll be made up.

Don't think it will happen, but if the Lib-Dems were to gain a majority with revoke article 50 included in their manifesto, it would actually be undemocratic not to then do so.

I find it quite funny really - someone is funding this highly energetic determination to overturn British democracy - big time! When BBC even promotes Remain on 'Night of the Proms' it can only be the EU that is funding it! Think about it - who in the UK who values his standing - would ever stoop so low as to defy the sovereignty of their country? It is easier to break a tycoon than to make one. It has to be an outside source!

Those who follow its bidding are as you say - showing their full colours! Someone said that MP's have a right to stand up for the people that they represent. They also sign to say that they stand for Queen and Country - even if they do not understand what is happening in politics - there is no excuse whatever for not knowing British tradition, what is happening on social media, what happened with the European Elections, and the result of the referendum. Still - I suppose each of these MP's are looking for their moments of fame!

Providing Boris Johnson is not trying to twist the rope on both ends - and he can be trusted to deliver on what he has promised - then I will back him all the way.

Sigh.......... In 1972/73 the government didn't have to lie to persuade people to sign up. For the 3rd time:THERE WAS NO REFERENDUM PRIOR TO JOINING!

Take it from someone who was an adult at the time. Heath was perfectly clear that it was more than just a common market. If people believed that's all it was, then they weren't paying attention.

This was written by Heath and published by the London Illustrated News in 1973:

“The community which we are joining is far more than a common market. It is a community in the true sense of that term.

It is concerned not only with the establishment of free trade, economic and monetary union and other major economic issues, important though these are — but also as the Paris Summit Meeting has demonstrated, with social issues which affect us all — environmental questions, working conditions in industry, consumer protection, aid to development areas and vocational training.”

Is that the same Heath that supported our membership of the Euro ?

You could go on to mention Wilson renegotiating before our referendum or even better France vetoing our entry years earlier because of our close ties with the US.

People complain they didn't know what they were voting for after our 2016 vote which bombarded us with comment and analysis 24/7.
Imagine how little we got back in the 70's ?
