So the Conservative government has had under Theresa May three votes on the same “deal” with the EU and each time it has been rejected in the House of Commons, and now the government led by Johnson had tried to get their “deal” with the EU and which was democratically rejected last Saturday at a special sitting in the HoC, presented again. Speaker Bercow, has rightly rejected this.

Curious that the Conservative government can have as many votes as they like on a deal with the EU, yet the general public are denied a second vote on any deal the government is likely to come up with. And they call this democracy! It’s seems as if it’s democracy when it suits.
And as for “will of the people” its more like the will of big business being masqueraded as the will of the people. All this talk of fantastic “trade deals” will ultimately only benefit one group of people and that will not be you and me!

The word "democracy" has been debased in the recent past.

It doesn't help that a lot of people simply don't get how it works. In particular that MPs are representatives of their constituency, not delegates.

They are supposed to use their judgement. And if you don't like their judgement, you vote them out.

There's good reason for that . They have far more time and access to information than we do.

For all the fuss about MPs not just waving through whatever version of Brexit the current government decides, remember that in 2017 a year after the referendum 400 MPs were elected known to be Remain supporters.

democrasy was the referendum....but the loathsome corrupt mps think they are above the people and did not accept the result...look at saturday in parliment....never in my life have i ever heard so much ********...they pretended to protect parlimentry procedure....but not one was honest and said they were doing any dodgy mechanism trying to block brexit...we all know a second vote and protecting parlimentery procedure is a cover to blantantly block brexit....if they succeed there will be a permanant split in the population and a real backlash to any immigrant..if brexit is blocked life will be uncomfortable for eu migrants they will be resented...reading in the papers today another 3 million on the way...

Who would make life 'uncomfortable' for someone because they were born in a different country?

I know quite a few leave voters, but none of them are such vile scum they'd 'make life uncomfortable' for anyone based on someone being born on another part of the continent. You must know some real shitstains.

Little Britain strikes again

, all that happened on Saturday, Parliament just let Johnson know that there are some details to be formalised into British law before he gets the go ahead.

Then he of course threw another kindergarten tantrum, spit his dummy and heaved teddy out the pram, in spite of appearances at times, there are rules regarding the House of Commons, one is expressly designed to prevent constantly recycling the same bill in the hope of a better result, Johnson called the vote, acted like the spoilt brat he is when things didn't go his way, then indignation when he gets refused today, he knows the rules just as well as anyone else, but thinks they don't apply to him.

Why should life become more uncomfortable for EU migrants? what sort of scumbags are going to launch ethnic cleansing? judging from that post a little "cleansing" needs to happen closer to home.

It says the UK population will rise by 3 million in the next decade, not that 3 million EU immigrants will come here. Why on earth would they when there are threats to 'make life uncomfortable' by knuckle dragging morons.

Have you read the reports? They are taken from the population projections unit of the ONS. The report states that 3,000,000 more people will be added to the UK population by 2028

3 million immigrants are not "on the way". 190,000 immigrants a year are expected to enter the UK over the next decade.

Only last week Turkey, under the barrage of criticism over fighting the Kurds, declared that they could open the door for thousands upon thousands of Syrian refugees to enter Europe. I wonder where the popular choice of Country they would like to head to is ? Answers Anybody!

The Polish people in Poland are mostly Catholics. They are pretty devout. They are happy, hardworking people - very friendly and keen to help tourists. Having said that, they are not very complimentary about their country folk who have moved to Europe and elsewhere. Indeed, when they have come over to the UK for a visit, they have nothing to do with them, but it is not because they feel superior to their own. This is because society in Poland has very high standards, locals are expected to closely follow Christianity and certain social rules. For instance, anyone caught with a small amount of illegal drugs is arrested immediately and given a prison sentence. There are also strict rules of drinking in Public and drunks face a pretty unpleasant time. Compare this to the UK - and the UK becomes a pretty attractive place to some. Compare also the percentage of Polish people in the UK to that of the prison community and you will find their is an over subscription of Polish people in our prisons. Under the free movement of people, Europeans were not subjected to strict border controls that those from outside the EU were subjected to. There were many drugs and weapons smuggled into the UK from across the Eastern borders.

Poland is a lovely clean country, where there is work available. True the wages are lower than the UK - but then the cost of living in Poland is far less than the UK. Polish people enjoy good work prospects, longer holidays and a good standard of life that rewards hard working people.

We have Polish business people in our own town. There are many stories that have been passed around for many years about these people, in particular, how they use their own nationals and how they abuse local people. I could not care less what I get called - but I am not going to embrace any foreign people who come here just to spit in my eye.

Every damn thing you say points solely to our failings, it is our borders that are like a very large mesh sieve, it is our failure to deal with criminals, remember there is no EU law which demands we admit criminals wherever they come from,

But employers like the cheap (slave) labour these criminal gangs bring in, no questions asked just get a number of labourers which the "employer" doesn't actually employ, no pension, no holiday, no sick pay and when/if the job finishes no redundancy pay, whose fault is that?

Must ask what the hell as this to do with our EU membership? it is entirely up to us whether we accept refugees or not, the situation with illegal immigrants will remain or possibly worse than it is now.
