Brexit Partys
Any local pubs celebrating with a Brexit party this evening? Maybe serving Black pudding, Eccles cakes, Cumberland sausage and Cornish pasties etc.

Shouldn't it be Pol Roger and foie gras ?
Brexit is after all according to many narrow minded people a construct of the right and for the benefit of a select rich few only,
also offering protected food name products (PGI Status) might grate with some.

The one in my area is a bit secretive.
No venue announced and facebook joining only.
I hope Remainers are not planning to waste police time.

That's a bit naughty H ... that your own thoughts or something you've picked up from a tabloid?
... although any potential trouble couldn't possibly be caused by leavers who may have consumed too much alcohol.
Looks like I'm still going to be here though - still haven't received the expected complementary tickets (from a mutual friend) for the last ferry tonight.

Why would you celebrate another 11 months of obeying EU rules and paying £350m a week?

Facebook congratulations are going wild - but I am not sure how many parties have been organised. I doubt very much if there will be a celebratory fly by of the Luftwaffe though.
There is a big party in Warrington and Wetherspoons nationwide are offering cut price drinks for Brexit supporters to celebrate - and Remainers to drown their sorrows! Beer £1.49!

Brexiteers have had online abuse since the Referendum.

Both sides have been abused by the others... that's (one of) the sad legacies of Brexit.
There are idiots who will look for trouble at the slightest excuse, particularly on a night like tonight, but I don't think they are restricted to one side.
In reality, I would imagine that there will be more Leavers out celebrating tonight, and they are likely to drink more alcohol than their counterparts - therefore the likelyhood of alcohol influenced incidents is perhaps skewed more towards the opposite side than that which you suggested.

I don't think remainers give a damn what the Brexit gang do to celebrate their folly, don't forget what you voted for when reality bites.

Why would we start paying £350m a week when we never have before?

Oh. So the leave campaign led by our current Prime Minister lied then?

You would agree though that people unhappy with an outcome they are totally convinced should have been proved right are more likely to be vociferous to those who had the opposite experience?
Hamble will come back to you on that theory in a few days.
