Was the BBC pro-REMAIN? Who cares? I don't.

As happens, I am not greatly enamoured of the BBC's news and current affairs output. On this occasion I did not feel a need to make a counterpoint. However, in view of two posts — #31 where you directly mentioned "the referendum debate with endless anti-brexit specials …", and #37 Civitas link citing a study which distorts the argument — I did think it appropriate to highlight that latter detail.
Sorry, if I disappointed you.

The TV Licence is a tax. It is evidently more-or-less ringfenced — Channel 4 gets a bite, I understand.
…if I just had Sky, Amazon & Netflix, there would still be a lot I miss without the BBC.
I believe in some other jurisdictions broadcast media is bundled into a large variety of configurations such that viewers are able to choose one, or two or more bundles to suit their preferences and their budgets. I expect the technology for innovative solutions exists. TV licencing is passé.
But mostly I don't want the likes of Murdoch becoming our 'national broadcaster'. The very thought of that makes me shudder.
On that point, we agree.
