Surely nothing to do with his ability to present a program or entertain.
I'm a transexual as I have said before - but I would never consider myself suited to some employment, even though I am not particularly feminine in my ways everyone is informed and that is a source of entertainment on its own.
Obviously you have not been on social media - or you have missed the facts! Even a whiff of such scandal means that he is not suited to the work he is employed to do. As for the ability to entertain? That is highly questionable.
There was a guy in this town who was very popular and he was also very open about his sexual preferences - which were obvious anyway - but he was a great laugh, honest, clean and a very talented entertainer.
There are good, and there are bad - and there are the very bad!

Very weird stance you have, That just because he's gay he can't do his job! Looks and sounds like the same guy he was two weeks ago. I see no reason to look at him or his ability any differently.
Guess it shows prejudice can raise it's ugly face from the most unexpected places.

Only a small percentage of people in this country are lgbt (around6%), that leaves 94% that are not, then there’s a small percentage that sympathise and another small percentage that feel under pressure not to appear prejudice, in the workplace and such. (Being told to agree with something you don’t and naturally find abhorrent counts as pressure ).
So for arguments sake let’s say 90% understand that lgbt is here but haven’t and won’t get used to it, so if the vast majority Think it’s quite the opposite of something to be proud of is the vast majority prejudice ?, and if so is being prejudice the norm. Could it be that the true general consensus of this subject, the vast majority, may think less of him enough not to want to watch him or have anything more to do with him, some may not now want to deal with him or any of his sponsors.
So no matter how good a presenter he is the vast majority now look upon him with distain, lgbt folk hold many different roles in society, some do great work in many fields including healthcare and emergency services and deserve praise for their contribution and that’s something to be proud of, but being proud just to be lgbt even if your mum supports you makes a mockery of the word proud to most.
Given that the world went mad years ago and people are doing just what they want and calling it what they will nowerdays, for me folk can carry on as they please ....and good luck to them ha ha.

I guess that will show up in viewing figures. So I guess the answer is 90% of people will now not watch the program if you are correct. My guess is it will make zero difference to viewing figures as most people actually aren't bigots.

There’s a kind of hush all over the world tonight .
Bigotry is an intolerance toward others that hold different views from themselves. In this sensitive instance 94% have decided against being involved in any deviation from the norm.
Some small percentage will tolerate the views of others regarding this subject through having to for fear of being called a bigot, a bad person and suchlike, some viewing it as trivial or even comical or not of their concern.
Then there’s the remainder a high percentage that are intolerant to the idea that they would change their minds on this subject and actively avoid having anything whatsoever to do with the subject or folk that are taken with it. A sort of hushed intolerance.
I don’t think the viewing figures will drop that much as morning tv watchers will probably see it as entertainment, I thought his persona on tv was good, I fall into the it don’t concern me however wrong it is category and if it doesn’t kill his ratings it may make them stronger who knows.

Well Phil's still promoting the webuyanycar scoundrels, still on TV and last I looked he hasn't been smited by God so it seems nobody gave much of a toss.
Still have some feelings for his wife and children though.
Perhaps they will replace Holly Willabooby with a bloke.

Here we go again! Everyone is a bigot in one sense or another, because everyone has their own likes and dislikes. But to condemn people for having their own views is rather hypocritical, don't you think? Because that makes you a bigot.

According to evidence given in social media, there is more to it than just being gay. Which is laughable in a sense because many posters on this site have been very quick to condemn even the slightest indication of such people and yet have not realised, nor understood why there is such an outcry over one particular person. If someone is just gay or bi - so what? Who cares? So why would the media need to be made to gag any further revelations?
