The expression 'vapour trails' in reference to jet aircraft exhausts, always makes me laugh. Since when did burning oil, simply produce water vapour? They must be seeding the skies above us, with countless tons of every polluting 'nasty' under the sun.
The bulk of vapour trails are water vapour, burning fuel oil does not produce white smoke, when a jet engine is put on full throttle the smoke is black, I'm not going to pretend that a jet engine on full take off power, particularly military jets, are nice and clean, they aren't, but when it comes to civil airliners, they are just about the most efficient and cleanest form of transport per passengers carried.
I know in your world civil air transport would be banned, but you know takes a hell of a long time getting to Spain on a push bike.

A) Sounds great, shame they haven't figured out how to produce oil-burning cars with equally benign exhaust emissions.
B) Well I don't know about that, but you could happily ban them tomorrow for me - as I stopped using them a long time ago. A side bonus would have been, that without passenger planes, Covid would have had a much tougher time spreading.
Btw, Spain on a bike isn't as outrageous as it sounds....The long-distance cycle route through France to Spain, is on my long-term bucket list.

About 75% of wood is water which produces steam when heated, the rest is cellulose, i.e. carbon hydrogen and oxygen which when burnt creates carbon dioxide and water. Carbon dioxide is absorbed by vegetation. If burning wood was so toxic none of us would be alive today after seven millions years of wood burning often in closed environments.
The Forestry Commission order tree residues to be burned regularly to clear the land, and farmers burn crops to fertilise the land
So sweet Said the PNP has liked your post, you two scientific dunces could publish a paper together, move in together and chop wood who knows what else might come out of this lockdown.

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm not about to let strangers choppers get anywhere near my wood!

I don’t think big ears would be happy at your matchmaking suggestions.

People like you, and PNP agree that woodsmoke does damage the environment but "only a little bit". What is the matter with you people? There are far healthier ways, for us and the environment, of keeping warm. PNP also asserts that cutting a tree down to feed his woodburner is ok, so long as a sapling is planted to replace it. And resolutely refuses to acknowledge that, if he left the original healthy tree standing and still planted the sapling, we'd soon have twice as many trees absorbing carbon dioxide. It's a no-brainer....isn't it??
It would be if it was mismanaged. Forests are now precision managed, with new trees being planted to increase the productivity to meet modern demands. About 300 million hectares of plantation forests (about the size of India) and 900 million hecatares of natural forest (just slightly less than the land area of China) are used for wood production. (For building construction, copy paper, wrapping paper etc.,and packaging) and also a fee billion cubic metres used for domestic heating and cooking. Most Forestry is privately owned.

Hmm, I can't decide Said and PNP the chuckle brothers?
I wonder if they met on Grindr............
Somewhere there's a smelly smoke-filled bedsit with their love juices.
Hours spent poking each other's fires...........

That being said - then the whole of science is a joke! You would not be where you are without it, that's for sure. So - how many trees have you planted?

Your right to point out I was doing your trick and not answering a reasonable question and the answer is five but one an apple tree died.
But in mitigation, I haven't burnt any, consequentially not released excessive Co2 and most importantly not polluted my neighbours lungs.
So how many have you planted?
