I'm certain, though, she / he will return to the Forum one way or another. And certainly, their tendency for visual and (very) graphic illustrations, if nothing else, used to be break up the look of the Forum's blocks of text.
There has never been a genre of bum fluff as far as I can recall.
It could be the new left banter.

A bully?
You don't think the punishment should fit the crime?

As a poster I do not bully or advocate male rape as a revenge.
No I do not think punishment should fit the crime as I do not support corporal or Capital punishment.

Reading a few threads of interest to me, my impression is that a small number of individuals do a very large proportion of contributions; which of course, is fine. Still, a consequence seems to be that posters are acquainted with their fellow posters to the extent that they can anticipate others' reactions. Much of the forum content is predictable squabbling.

I read a lot of the threads, but there are some where I don't feel I've much of a contribution to make. Or I simply don't know enough on the subject. I know bugger all about building on flood plains, for eg.
I think we sometimes get stuck in 'squabble' mode. First to hold my hand up there . Other times it's entertaining.

Q Local Southport forum is a learning experience.
I'm discovering things I'd overlooked previously. One discovery is the extent of culture war raging in the UK. Formerly, I had viewed it as less than that in the USA; but the contagion has spread across the world.
The people who devise the warfare memes are NOT the impolitic yokels who wage battle in comparatively insignificant social media venues (such as this forum). They are educated, connected and determined.
I worry that engaging in culture war in the fashion of this forum perpetuates division.

Not to disturb - the fecal matter is that which is in people's minds - I just use centrifugal force to bring sensible thinking to the surface! No-one can object to that - can they?

I for one enjoy being part of the forum and have done for many years. And what you call squabbling is decent conversation to another . If you dont like it simple , dont use the forum .

It's practical to be a leftist on this forum, too, as it enables a poster to champion anti-Semitic conspiracy theories with impunity.
