After some long deliberation about whether to hit the bottle or not, almost a week's worth of deliberation i should add, I sent Mrs TC to the local shop today to buy me many bottles of beer. It's amazing how the confinement of these walls seem to disappear after the first 5 bottles.

They can whistle sweet Dixie for that. I tell you all now with no regret, I am not staying in for 6 months. Who do they think they are? There will not be a country or town to walk out of your house to if they impose that kind of rule. If that is true, trouble will brew and over-spill!
Alikado, is there an online source for this?

It was the update show this afternoon, It's on the Evening Standard website at the moment, there was also a question which was fudged/ unanswered / ignored about the death figures being under reported.

Tasmania is closed to all but essential travellers and residents returning home. So far we have around 60 confirmed virus sufferers who, with just one exception, brought the virus from overseas and they are all quarantined. So far it seems under control and people are mostly are staying at home or, at a safe distance.
My wife and I have just been shopping at the local supermarket where 7.00am to 8.00am is for pensioners only.
So far as Australia as a whole is concerned numbers are not great...yet. Anybody now entering the country will be quarantined at a govt. assigned hotel for 14 days. They will not be allowed to go home. The army are assisting police in attempting to supervise these movements.
Just be yourself, no one else is better qualified!!

That is interesting - I am given to understand that the first case in Australia was on 24th January, which was five days before the first case in the UK - yet it has only started spreading recently? I know Australia is a huge country, but is only habitable in about a third of the whole region - if I am right, so the population is not as widely spread out as it could be imagined?

Okay, where are you going to go? Where will you spend your money? Rioting usually only occurs when there are shops to loot from, and there aren’t many left of those. I really do understand your frustration, but we are all in the same boat here. I have found your past posts very interesting and informative, please keep posting. Sun’s coming up, and the fox hasn’t been, so I’m going to bed now. X

In answer to the original question NO my alcohol consumption has reduced to NIL for the last 12 months and it will stay so until the pubs are allowed proper opening not a pint with a meal or sat outside under an umbrella.
I like a pint as much as anyone but bottled and canned beers do nothing for me they are like pig swill.

Chucked Cans
On the bike, I am noticing an increase in empty beer cans, discarded along country verges lately.....With all the pubs shut long-term, it would appear that drinkers are 'doing it' in their cars.

There you go again, suddenly everyone’s a drink driver. It’s no wonder that you are so disliked on here.
