It's human nature to only believe what you see with your own eyes, and some people are ignoring the rules because they're going out and not seeing people staggering about like in a zombie film, so they think they can't catch it. When my wife and I go out for our exercise walks, we assume that everyone is infectious.
Not really - people have their own understanding based on what they know. I see no problem in people staying in if they want to - I prefer it that way as it is lovely and quiet everywhere. I do get annoyed with the completely baseless need for social distancing when it comes to shopping - all that does is to increase the time spent shopping (so if you wanted social distancing, it means you spend longer in other people's company), when I really need to get in and out fast, I don't have that time really to waste queuing up.

In your opinion, but not in the opinion of experts. Your opinion is meaningless and is most definitely not wanted on the forum. I know where you live, and I have your phone number. I could quite easily report your constant barrage of dismissing government restrictions and misinformation. Any member could report you for the same reasons, and Q would have to divulge information about your account. We've had to cooperate with police investigations before. Thanks in part to us, one gentleman is languishing behind bars.
THERE ARE RULES - ADHERE TO THEM.

I would not dream of taking that title away from you, even if I could.

William Farr demonstrated that epidemics decline at a mathematically predictable rate, using empirical observations of a smallpox epidemic to confirm this. He later formulated several other mathematical equations and laws that apply to epidemics, e.g., that prevalence of a disease can be calculated from the mathematical product of incidence and the average duration.

Surely he doesn't have that much of an effect on you that you would want to waste the Court's time on him ?

It can't be the same Farr's laws that Said was referring to. He based his graph on Farr's Laws of "Ethidemeology". It might come in handy for future ethidemics.

Your definition of 'waste' may be different to mine.
As usual, you seem to want to make it a personal thing - whether or not it affects me personally is irrelevant.
I realise that very few people these days have principles, but I do. There are weak and vulnerable people in society who believe what they read on the internet, and they need to be protected from peddlers of misinformation. Action Fraud agree.

You can't beat a good old bit of faux virtue signalling.
The internet plumbs depths that Saids gormless meanderings don't even get near.
There is a village with a Said missing, a pork pie that hasn't made the picnic .
Or perhaps a University without its Professor of ethidemics.
I shall remain sensibly un-offended.

That's a clever way of calling me a liar.
You have no knowledge of me, my personal background, my family or our collective values.
But you call me 'faux' and suggest that I am insincere.
Classic keyboard warrior - if you don't have any principles, please don't tar others with the same brush.

So with another 621 deaths today and nearly 800 yesterday we're past the peak are we?
I beg to differ and I'm sorry to disappoint you but if there are people going out and about and acting normally which I have seen on the very few occasions that I venture out , the trend will continue.

Lockdown exits
Germany is attempting to come out of lockdown and I have just read of a rapid rise in new cases of Covid 19 over there.
I can see us being stuck with this for an extremely long time.
Come out of lockdown AT YOUR OWN PERIL BORIS !
It's a decision you may live to regret , the human cost could be incalculable.

Consistency consistency.
I still cannot understand how the missing pork pie from life's picnic affects you and others so.

When ever any restrictions are eased there will always be a rise if there were no rise it prove that the lockdown was ineffective and pointless, lockdown has to be eased or the country will be bankrupt. Some restrictions should not have been imposed anyway as they were pointless and ineffective, Fishing and Golf for example are pretty solitary sports and should have been freed up weeks ago. The CMO said on 'Hancocks Half Hour' that a Social distancing could be eased, it is face to face contact that spreads it so the screens at the tills are probably an effective measure but other than preventing crowding most other measures probably don't have much effect, some of them cause other problems.
