    Again your wrong and the warehouse stacked with 52,000 stockpiled pallets of equipment all £500 million worth is on Merseyside the troops were brought in to distribute it because of the exponential demand from so many more than usual led to difficulties getting it delivered.

    The issue with the gowns is that the correct checks showed the supplier hadn't met the necessary level of protection.

    You really need to get off your losing Labour hobby horse and imagine if Jeremy was running the show with his desperate shadow cabinet actually in charge of anything.

    On 31 December 2019, the WHO China Country Office was informed of cases of pneumonia
    unknown etiology (unknown cause) detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province of China. From
    31 December 2019 through 3 January 2020, a total of 44 case-patients with pneumonia of
    unknown etiology were reported to WHO by the national authorities in China. During this
    reported period, the causal agent was not identified.

    Only now are we finding out the use of blood thinning drugs is important, the long term medical demands from survivors etc.

    It might help to take off your political bias and park it for a while, governments and medics around the world are struggling with this and burying us with PPE will not cure us.

    By all means at other times vent your usual frustrations about not getting what you want but this outbreak is beyond petty party politics.

    The new Government (a bunch of medical amateurs) had been in place since the 18th December and by the end of January they had the biggest crisis to hit this country since the second world war on its horizon, the W.H.O said don't panic keep flying people in from Wuhan in January.

    Find out what you can do to help.
    You should watch this.

    Jeremy I'm sorry to tell you is yesterday's man, I'm afraid you need to find another scapegoat preferably one that has been in a position to influence things in the past 10 years, do you need me to suggest a few names?

    ‘You really need to get off your losing Labour hobby horse and imagine if Jeremy was running the show with his desperate shadow cabinet actually in charge of anything.’

    Your obviously a fan of all sorts of fake news and right wing propaganda.
    Here’s a quick bit of real news for you,-Jeremy is no longer leader of The Labour Party. Even if he was and judging by the support that broken boris is now losing, I’m pretty sure he’d make a better job than the current sh*t show we have in power. Duh.

    Jeremy wasn't even yesterdays man he never got in which is why I said imagine.
    He is certainly no scapegoat the country soundly rejected him,his policies, his shadow losers and their bigoted supporters.

    On this thread you have said;

    the same basic PPE is required, that is what we didn't have

    You cannot hid behind the election, the Tories have been in in power for 10 years and the failings are well and truly on their watch, there is no mention in the article of even a single warehouse only about items delivered but no mention of the source, do you not think that if they had warehouses of the stuff we would have seen the propaganda videos on

    I show you we did have it, where it is and who they got in to distribute it when the existing system was overwhelmed aren't you tired of being wrong and whining ?

    It is a problem for the world and manifests itself according to local circumstances and is not dead by any means.

    Your incessant anti-tory rant blinds you to the work being done across the nation to combat this virus.

    We have already revealed that many old people have been sent to infect nursing homes by local hospitals,

    I have seen it first hand,

    the NHS and some of its staff do not care about them and the care staff that is a cultural issue that needs addressing.

    You haven't shown that we did have it (PPE stocks), it is well documented that we Didn't have it, your link makes absolutely now mention of your 52000 pallets or your Merseyside warehouse instead you rely on Government Propaganda figures of how many items have been delivered no mention that what had been delivered was no more than the normal usage.
    My incessant Anti Tory rants are not against the Tories they are pointed at a Failing Government and holding them to account.

    Would you like an opportunity to rethink your reply ?

    The clues in the piece from the hardly pro government Guardian are many;

    In three years, the stockpile appears to have been stored in three different warehouses.

    In addition to procuring new supplies from China, the DHSC has been drawing on the emergency stockpile, which it has stored since 2006 under its pandemic influenza preparedness programme.

    That stockpile is made up of around 52,000 pallets of equipment worth an estimated £500m. While it contains antiviral medicines and flu vaccines which are of limited use against Covid-19, the bulk of stocks are said to be PPE and hygiene products.

    The article highlights yet more Government failures, 52000 pallets may sound like a massive amount but actually equates to less than a wagon load of PPE for each hospital in the UK.

    You are a hoot, you get it wrong on so much.

    You are now reduced to saying of something you said we didn't have a stockpile of not a few posts ago.

    To that we actually had ;

    equates to less than a wagon load of PPE for each hospital in the UK

    I wonder how many more labour under your blinkered desire to slag off NHS workers by accident or otherwise or did you think Boris Johnson orders it personally.

    Or maybe Matt Hancock keeps it at home in the garage ?

    There are so many people working hard to help us all and you keep slagging them off you should be ashamed of yourself.

    No. It’s this government that should be ashamed of itself. The way they’ve handled this sh*t show from the start has been a national disgrace.

    I am not slagging them off, a wagon load per hospital is only a miniscule fraction of a stockpile, the problem is your blinkered desire saying the Government is doing such a marvellous job indicates that the problems and issues must be with the NHS and it's staff!

    You and many others are constantly slagging off hard working people who include relatives of mine that are doing all they can to defeat this virus.

    The "Government" aren't trying to buy things , or test, or treat,or develop new treatments with ever increasing numbers of people it is predominantly NHS employees and I am heartily sick of people sat on their fat backsides slagging them off.

    Who in their right minds thinks Boris or his predecessor Theresa May have anything other than rudimentary knowledge of medical issues or procurement ?

    They are led by the experts, who else are they supposed to turn to ?

    Why not support them and stop whining and help if you can.

    You are always slagging them off, you are now saying a articulated wagon load of PPE for a hospital such as ours as back up stock (not every day supplies) is miniscule are you mad ?

    I suppose is a damascene conversion from none for you only a few posts ago I shall remind you what you wrote ;
