Seems 52% of the public think he should be sacked.
Will of the people?
But as has been pointed out, that would be like Emu sacking Rod Hull.
Wondering how all those Cabinet Ministers, who've been instructed to post the 'family, protect, wife, child, politicise' tweets (presumably to say that Starmer is 'politicising' Cummings' family at PMQs) are going to justify the second visit to Durham?
He really does know where the bodies are buried.

Strangely, I can't hear Labour supporters screeching for their heads to roll...
Yes they should. As soon as Robert Jenrick is sacked. Just as Neil Ferguson was. There shouldn't be one law for some and not others. Simple as that.

The plot thickens, reports say that Cummings has made a second trip to Durham, five days after he was photographed in Downing Street. If this is true, Boris will have no option other than to get rid.

I reckon that as virtually the entire Cabinet have declared what a wonderful person Cummings is for looking after his wife, child and family, there is no doubt who the power is.
Shapps has drawn the short straw. Not only did he have to squirm and stutter through today's briefing, he's got to go on Sky TV tomorrow too. Sky have taken the unusual step of releasing the questions early.
Nice power move.
Not even missing the Premier League with this farce unfolding.
I reckon the next time we'll see Johnson will be on his book tour in 2021.

I noticed he was MIA today. I was surprised to see the Transport Secretary making the announcement in defence of Cummings. What a strange choice. Was he chosen because the Cummings family travelled by road? Ah well, it gives the hapless Hancock a break! Where is Johnson? Paternity leave perhaps?

Great bit of Journalism by the Mirror and Grauniad.
Let the performing monkeys in cabinet to come out in his defence, then release the report regarding his second illegal outing.
All this on a bank holiday weekend ahead of a parliamentary recess, this is gonna stick around in the news for a while!

I dont wish to appear ignorant but what exactly qualifies Cummings to be an "advisor" ? What is his background, education, work/life experience ? What does he tell and advise Boris on that the man on the "Clapham Omnibus" can't ?

How will the coalition of losers move this on if Cummings their bête noire isn't gone in the morning ?
Is it just me but why is this seemingly simple news story shared ?
If he's done wrong then fine off he goes, pretty simple really, but why do we have a motley collection of journalists acting together ?

The odd looking one is quite well qualified for his post and has served a few well known names, he is renowned for being a very sharp but acerbic character;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominic_Cummings
Because of his "achievements" he will find employment easily, the losers media is obsessed with his success and that will ultimately mean he has to go.

His talents are are around manipulation of data, and ultimately winning elections, nothing in the public good.

I still haven't got a clear picture of what happened and the emphasis on distance seems an irrelevant distraction, for if that's where his help was then that's where he/we would go.
He unfortunately has a lot of frustrated anti-Brexit and anti-Boris fans queueing up to vent their frustration with being on the losing side twice and many blame him for it.
The visceral comments on here go far beyond objective condemnation of his isolation trip.
Still if when all the facts are out he has done wrong then bye bye he will walk into another job easily.
I do not see what all the fuss is about. They are all adults who can think for themselves. I am absolutely certain that a man in his position is fully aware that he is at all times under the public microscope. If the story is true, then perhaps Mr. Cummings knows far more than most people, on the topic of the virus. If the story is grossly misleading, then it is no different to every other report on this topic.
Taking the outbreak as an isolated issue - then hell's bells, people break the rules. This is not confined to a mere few, thousands of people have ignored the rules. Perhaps it is in their nature to be cavalier over regulations, or maybe they are more aware of the wider picture of World politics.

In about 2 hours they’ve had to go from “he had to go there to look after his child, as any loving parent would do” to “leave him alone he didn’t **** anybody”. (Johnson - Mail)
Priceless.
Our government, folks.
