More selective memories from potty mouth,
for months Cummings is the svengali behind Brexit then Steve Baker of all people says he wasn't and the toilet lid stays shut.
Boris is a backstabber and will do anything,
but it appears, throw the middle earth man under a bus.
Then the splitting of the story is described as "exquisite" yet the day to stick the knife in and the main "witness" stays silent surely today is the day for the common good to see him off or shut up ?
Anna Soubry the liar is quoted, remember her ?
talking about integrity
she stabbed her electorate in the back, stood for election on one agenda then shuffled off without consulting her voters to support the polar opposite , they gave their answer and booted her out at the election.
Strange bedfellows.

The people who would know where Cummings was are the security services as they will have to look after him, which is probably why he had to take his child to someone vetted.
Sack the weird looking one if he's done wrong or shut up.
The media are behaving very badly with half stories.
As far as is proven he took his child to someone he knew and trusted to be looked after, if he did anything more then lets get on with it publish it and if he did fire him.
It is tittle tattle in a time of national crisis.

Looking at it another way - there are around 273 news agencies in the UK that are managed by around ten very wealthy people. These people stand to lose out if a 'No Deal' Brexit is called. Cummings is Johnson's wheeler and dealer man, particularly useful in manipulating situations. The Remainer's still continue their campaign!

The remoaners mistakenly blame him as the architect of the leave vote but Steve Baker shot a hole in that charge this morning.

Politics gets a lot of air time on Sunday and the story could have been over before the TV started and they would have had 'the moral high ground' again.
If Bojo keeps defending him he will be in danger of going himself, there already seem to be splits developing and Michael Gove must be salivating over this.
I doubt this will die down any time soon. Johnson has just appeared before the nation, lied through his teeth, and declared that Cummings is far more important than anyone in lockdown, who couldn't be there to hold the hand of a loved one as they died, who couldn't say a final goodbye to a son, daughter, mother, father. Who couldn't attend the funeral of a loved one.
This won't go away. Social media has absolutely blown up over it, with politicians, pundits and journalists all enraged over it. And unless I'm mistaken, there'll be no other Parliamentary business for a while.
Armando Iannucci was right. Now I'm really curious about what Cummings has on Poundshop Churchill.
Good point about Gove, Ali. He can take the reigns in the future in the full and certain knowledge that he'll have a much better public approval rating than Fat Al. He'll be rubbing his cocaine dusted hands raw at this.

He has! It's been on the news all day.
His name is Mr Lees and he's a retired chemistry teacher. He took the registration number of the car and has reported it.
Johnson was specifically asked about this Barnard Castle sighting and ignored the question. So did Shapp this morning.
What can you do with a corrupt, lying government? And this isn't party politics - they just happen to be the government of the day.

What makes you think he has security services protection? if he had they would have been easily available to ensure that no-one came to harm

How ironic the press had to be asked to observe social distancing whilst firing questions at Cummings about Social distancing.

Cummings' father phoned the police when he knew that Cummings was on his way, to ask for security advice. He had previously been given this, but had lost the contact phone number. The police passed this on to Special Branch, who phoned him and repeated the advice to him.
This is why the police were so incensed when various government stooges lied and said there had been no police contact.

"It’s not often a politician calls a press conference to sneer openly at the voters but Boris Johnson has always done things his own way. The Prime Minister’s performance this afternoon was a careful, considered declaration of contempt at all those chumps stupid enough to obey the rules he laid down for them. They thought those regulations applied to everyone, regardless of position or connections? What rubes.
Addressing Dominic Cummings’ freewheeling interpretation of lockdown guidelines, the Prime Minister said: ’I believe that in every respect he has acted responsibly, legally and with integrity, and with the overriding aim to stopping the spread of the virus and saving lives.’
I don’t think for a minute that Johnson believes his adviser was trying to halt the spread of Covid-19, but nor I do think he was lying. A lie is an attempt to deceive and the Prime Minister doesn’t care enough to make the effort. He has decided that he needs the man who devised his Brexit strategy and election campaign and who is now virtually co-Prime Minister. It doesn’t matter whether the punters reckon Dom did the right thing or the wrong thing (they very much think the latter) because what they reckon doesn’t come into it.
This is how elites operate. Rules are for the ruled, not the rulers. The little people have to stay at home, keep their kids away from granny, and see their small businesses tank. Not the clique, though. They are clever enough to slip and slither between the terms and conditions that bind everyone else and valuable enough that, even if they do get caught, they will be shielded from the consequences.
Think I’m being unfair? Confident Boris would view similar actions in a similar light if taken by an ordinary punter? Fair enough. I’m not one to counsel law-breaking but if the Prime Minister says it’s okay to disregard lockdown as long as you believe your reason is really good, then go ahead and disregard lockdown. You may not face the same scenario that Cummings faced but you judge what’s best for you and your family, just like he did. Go down the pub, take the kids to the seaside, or drive to your parents’ house. Don’t worry if you or someone else in your household is symptomatic. Follow your ‘instincts’, not the rules. And if the police hand you a fine, forward it to Downing Street. Boris will sort it for you."

You are all referring to what 'he said, she said' that has been published in the media for the purpose of selling news. Thinking outside those broad sheets for a while - Cummings is in the public eye. Everything he does is under the public microscope. Even I, who has never followed any rules ever - would think twice about what I was intending to do, under those conditions. Cummings is far more alert than many people, everything he does is planned. Do you honestly believe that he would risk his privileged position? Would you seriously believe that all the Conservative Party members would stand by him if he had indeed acted against Party policies? The evidence and common sense supersede any dubious media reports.
Repeating that which I claimed earlier - that I believe this is just a witch hunt by the staunch, wealthy EU remain people - would appear to be justified by the fact that the author of the Spectator report was forced to resign his editor's position for STV in 2017 because of the number of complaints regarding his personal political bias and his misogynistic views he published on twitter.
This is supported by the same author's article in the same magazine in which he blatantly illustrates that he is personally against both Brexit and Sturgeon's call for independence. So surprise! Surprise! Let's target Cummings!

You must also understand you're talking about a guy who previously has told journalists when questioned, that and I quote "I don't care what you lot think" then walked away without answering any questions.
With his attitude do you seriously think that he gives a damn about rules that apply to others, when clearly he believes he is unquestionable.

Too late! Some time ago our resident mule labelled me as a low achieving, low intelligence, lefty loser. Prior to this, I had no idea that leaning to the left automatically endowed me with such enviable qualities.
