Pathetic, do you seriously think all over 70s have gone into hibernation.

There are exemptions, I would assume that MP's are exempt if not how come there are some in Parliament?

Was thinking of visiting family down South tomorrow, But I'm not sure my eye sight is up to it. So I asked the wife if she and the kids fancied going to Blackpool today...….
She told me to F%ÂŁ$ OFF....

    No pleasing some people!

JEREMY CORBYN, alongside other parliamentarians over the age of 70, must heed the advice of the Government on coronavirus or risk the public following suit and not self-isolating, a senior member of the House of Commons has warned.

They, along with other vulnerable people including those with diabetes and who are pregnant, should remain at home in a bid to ensure they do not contract the virus.

Sir Roger Gale, 76, believes MPs over 70 should follow the guidance issued by Prime Minister Boris Johnson and stay isolated – despite the difficulties this could bring to them. The MP for Thanet told Express.co.uk, he would no longer visit Parliament as he wanted to “set an example” that should be followed by those of a certain age. People aged over 70 are considered to be more vulnerable to the killer coronavirus, with many of those who have died in the UK aged over that threshold.

Sir Roger’s comments come after Mr Corbyn refused to say he would self-isolate during an interview with Sophy Ridge on Sunday.

Although Sir Roger said he “understood Mr Corbyn’s natural instinct” to want to carry on as normal, he claimed that in the interests of the public “we have to recognise our responsibility”

Jeremy as a figure of fun would be a good distraction for the country at the moment but really he should be tucked up at home.

What we will do with the ÂŁ305 a day geriatric pay centre known as the House of Lords is the real question.

For me there was a few things that stood out about his explanation.
He couldn’t remember stopping for fuel..that’s because he would have to have a big conversation about how he went into the garage knowing he had the virus to pay, if he didn’t use his cards he could have made it worse and paid cash, if no card was used no one can check so best to say can’t remember then the story can’t be picked at, even though we can all remember the last time we fuelled our cars.
And he and the prime minister can’t remember a conversation they had, that’s not altogether healthy given that he is an advisor to the PM, again not remembering is easier than getting tangled up explaining.
The whole thing about test driving to see if he is ok one way or another might sound like a good explanation until you say it out loud and although it may be true it’s open to claims of just going against common sense.
And saying he makes mistakes all day long is a bad thing to be saying given the position he is in.

Now the bones of it I can believe, I can understand why he has chosen to forget some points and made some bad judgements but there’s something he has not been truthful with or forgot to mention or is trying to forget or trying for us not to see.

He said the word HONEST too many times ALL the way through his explanation, sometimes if you watch closely he caught himself saying it but couldn’t stop himself saying it at one point he was struggling not to say it but he couldn’t, the words forced themselves out, and this word will.

If someone says the word HONEST to you and you are 1% thinking they may not be telling the truth then they are lying, no I don’t want to hear the definitions of the word or how else it can be used, they are lying.
HONEST is a keyword to re enforce the lie or half truth.
Now With the aid of knowing this you can tell 99% who is lying to you or telling you something they WANT you to believe, those reading this thinking that’s not right and are newly aware to this will see it occasionally in their everyday lives for themselves, now they know.

My view is his job like the PM's is a 24/7, always needing to be available job. So the idea that Bojo, or the other Senior Members such as Rabb, Sunak, Gove or Halfcock didn't know what was going on is not believable.

I think you make a good point about the fuel and they all have ANPR these days and a smarter less toxic journalist would have asked him his route and checked it..

The conversation with a sick Boris I can understand him not remembering.

His wife wanting to see how he was before driving all the way I can understand and he did say on the saturday before he had got the ok to return to work from an expert, who would be interesting to hear from.
