The National Guard has assaulted peaceful protesters, the press and even one member of the clergy. There have been unmarked 'troops' on the ground and people have no idea who they are. He has drawn scathing criticism from many members of the clergy, including a Bishop and an Archbishop in DC, for his irreverent photo-op outside St John's church. They didn't approve of him using the church as a prop for political gain.
