I don't mind people taking themselves out Darwin Award style, they generally only kill themselves, but there are hundreds if not thousands of d*ckheads all driving back home to maybe harm the rest of the people wherever they live.

So, if one of the injured tests positive for C-19 that's 2 helicopter crews, police, paramedics, doctors, nurses at risk and self isolating, so well done muppets as for the rest of the morons crowding on the beach, you deserve what you get! you can't cure stupid.

Unfortunately there are always idiots who are prepared to put their hand in the fire to see if it's hot.
Natural selection should weed them out but we save them treat them and make them well enough to carry on.

Of course they are! The planet is far too crowded. The EU, whose rules we have to abide by until Jan 2021, not our government - have already reasoned that if the outbreak does not kill everyone off - then they will incorporate plan B, which is to settle people on the moon.

In the meantime the government are giving councils grants to create or enhance cycle paths in the expectation that huge numbers of people will have now become cycle friendly during lockdown and will not use their cars, in the name of climate change,of course. Again, this is a lie since people were not allowed to use their cars during lockdown in case they breathed during travel and someone on the motorway became infected.

The shortages in Supermarkets, etc., are to make people aware that not all goods will be available after Brexit and that the government are cutting down on imports anyway from Jan 2021. But that is misleading, since we are all aware that shortages are due to panic buying.

But that is misleading, since we are all aware that shortages are due to panic buying.

The shelves are still not full, if you are paying attention.

Of course it will be the same after Jan 2021 - but not because of Brexit - but because the balance of payments has been in the negative for the past few years. Without panic buying, you may find it wise to buy the odd extra tin here and there, and grow your own produce where you can. It is hoped that the UK can become self sufficient if everyone uses home produced goods. Don't raid my allotment - I have permission to shoot on sight!

Well, better late than never.......If Govt's over the last 20 years had actually invested in cycle infrastructure at a decent level, the cycle paths/lanes would have already been in place.

Great, are you lurking around prepper forums, now? I'd give you 3 posts before they kick you straight off again. They think Infowars is as much bullshite as I do. You've no more got an allotment than I have, Walter Mitty.

I've never panic bought anything. I don't need to. Only idiots do.

If there are any shortages in the shops, which there aren't now, it will be because other EU and countries with which we have current trade deals, are in trouble with the pandemic. I've seen no shortages since the initial loo roll and pasta runs.

All sounds like you're getting a whole lot of excuses in early for when it all goes tits up, to me.

It is hoped? By whom? By you? The UK cannot become self sufficient. It couldn't during WW2, it certainly won't now. Not unless the country subsists on spuds and dandelion leaves. And even then, there wouldn't be enough to go round.

I much prefer that going to the shop and buying what I want, which is how it has been for decades. Fresh produce from our nearest neighbours. Free trade. Good for all of us.

But now it's 'er...well...there might be shortages....for a few years...er..but ...we'll all have unicorns and rainbows by 2050'. I'd rather have olives and jobs right now, thanks.
