This is the life!
No wonder Matty Jackson’s smiling - he says he’s ‘back where he belongs’ at Life’s in Southport where he’s just re-opened its Morgan workshop.
A recent move to Banks didn’t really work out space wise and so Matty, 40, has returned to his motor mechanic 'roots' in Southport town centre.
Said Matty of Banks: “I’m happy to be back at work after the lock down and look after my loyal customers and their Morgans!” – news that’s been welcomed by enthusiasts all over the NW who were saddened when Dave Randall sold up earlier this year.
Matty told QLocal: “I’m concentrating on Morgan service and repair, and the good weather’s got me off to a busy start with owners out enjoying their much-loved machines!”
He purchased the well-known company name and goodwill in January – Life’s closure marked the end of a motoring era as the oldest Morgan dealership in the world.
Matty knows the car intimately and as a mechanic for over 20 years – with 11 at Life’s as workshop manager – enjoys a great reputation for his workmanship and expertise in the marque. He not only services and repairs them but updates and modifies Morgans too; this customer from near Buxton was collecting his 4/4 as these photos were taken.
And Matty has some more exciting news soon – and is offering dealers showroom space to sell classic British marques to complement the Morgan range.
Life’s Motors website is not up to speed yet so contact Matty via Matthewsammy80@gmail.com or call 01704 531375.
