Meanwhile, in the real world, duties will be payable by the importers of record, based on the full cost (in this case finished cars) as stated on the commercial invoice. I'm sure that you can figure out the impact from there.

Goods sourced from outside the EU could have an agreed percentage which would be very helpful for British jobs.
We rely as Trump has pointed out far too much on the likes of China as it is.
The EU are simply trying to be awkward but biting off the nose of their exporters in the process.
This should be a win win for British jobs.
All trade deals, agreements or arrangements have stipulations regarding origin of material in any manufactured goods, these agreements are already in place and have been for a considerable period, or do you think the EU are going to hastily rewrite everything just to accommodate the UK?
Of course in your view existing agreements don't count and every problem is just the EU being awkward, hate to remind you the EU didn't demand we leave, ask or even want us to leave, this country has done that, now we all have to live with the consequences
You are one of the arch disciples of Brexit, well this is what you wanted, incidentally I'm still waiting for this list of positives as regards Brexit

Been waiting four years for that. Never got a satisfactory answer from any Quitter yet.
You get lots of '...knowing we are independent...' or 'future generations might...'. Quite a bit of 'we can forge our own deals'. Not better than EU deals we can't.
Never a single concrete benefit for us. Oh, but we are just being selfish for actually expecting our lives to improve. Where are the sunlit uplands, again?
In the meantime, we are haemorrhaging money and jobs.
All because the gullible Gammon got reeled in by Farage and the Tufton Street mob.
