Trump tests positive.
Trump gets the "chaina" virus,
you do have to feel a little bit sorry for the virus its probably getting a torrent of abuse as we speak.
Hopefully he Melania and the aide Hope Hicks will recover well.

Fake news. He's going for the sympathy vote.
Meanwhile, the White House staff are hiding the bleach.

Wouldn't wish either of these (Trump and/or the virus) on anyone ... hope he recovers and his experience softens his apparent perspective.
That said, it's not easy to ignore the timing of this...
Many would suggest he's taking one out of the Johnson book instead of the usual other way around.
Wonder if the medics/nurses treating him will also have to sign non-disclosure documents, above and beyond what would be professionally expected from them ... like their UK counterparts sworn to secrecy - does anyone really think there'd be mumbling of the nuke codes in a feverish sleep or was it (or will it be) something else that needs shielding from the public gaze.

After the disaster of the recent debate, they might have thought it best if he doesn't appear in public at all between now and November...?

I don't think the conspiracy theory has legs.
How the gifted one benefits from being caught by a teeny weeny virus is not clear, it does shatter his self perceived immortality.
That and all the people who would have to co-operate.

This could work out well for the Donald (and his advisors). He may sit in the White House and tweet conspiracies, but he'll be spared two more embarrassing debate outings and (assuming he survives, more-or-less intact), his supporters will feel vindicated in their Covid-19 = flu (notwithstanding 200,000+ American deaths!)
On the other hand, perhaps his advisors have finally managed to persuade the President that his Presidency really has been a toxic loser. That being the case, President Trump changes tack and plays the victim for the sympathy of voters. It sounds far-fetched, but hey …

I think you are getting carried away with the conspiracy theories Boris and his nurses were very real;

The ludicrous Dominic Cummings allegations are similarly tosh.
