Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

Simply the best! YNWA
Out of the gloom a voice spoke unto me
''Smile and be happy things could be worse.''
So I smiled and was happy and behold
Things did get worse!

As an Everton supporter, I'll give credit where credit is due. Ray Clemence was a very good goalkeeper. But for me, Tommy Lawrence (aka The Flying Pig) was a true character in the mould of great goalkeepers. The chance meeting with a BBC reporter is classic gold https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-31188264. RIP, memories are made of this.

Belgium v England . Players took the knee, but, no recognition for Ray. Disgusting.

I think you're somewhat premature with your disgust mate. The late great Ray Clemence passed away on Sunday, the same day the match was played. It's quite possible that the announcement wasn't made before kick off. I guarantee that Ray will receive the respect he earned before PL kick-offs next weekend.
Just be yourself, no one else is better qualified!!

I remember walking up Rumney Road walking to Goodison in the 70's and who was driving up there with his car window wide open non but Ray Clemence it was one of those rare Saturdays when both teams were at home must have been FA Cup day. As soon as someone saw him he got dog's abuse but he was laughing his head off and he turned right onto County Rd. That was in the days when both sets of supporters had banter with one another and at BOTH grounds the visiting goalkeeper got clapped as he came to the goal in front of the home support.
He was driving a bronze Cortina GXL a bit different to todays fairies in their £200k supercars.
RIP Ray.

I still think you're premature in your criticism. Don't suppose you noticed that the England team wore black armbands during the game? Or that maybe the FA were honouring a request from Rays family.
