    Depending on the type of property a car owner lives in, it's a straightforward job to install as many solar panels as the roof will allow. A domestic battery bank and inverter can store the resulting charge during daylight hours, then supply 220 a/c when required.

    Nothing too complex about putting in an exterior charging point either. All the tech is available off the shelf, from companies like Photonic Universe (I got my own setup from them)......then you're driving on clean and free power!


    At this point anyone with half a brain knows he's talking through his chimney.

    I hate being 'buzzed' by cars or any type of vehicle, when I'm on a bike. Which is why if cycling, you'll find me taking a route with the minimum exposure to traffic.

    I accept cars have their uses, as do all forms of transport. However, it's hard to avoid the conclusion that cars in particular are over-used. E.g. is it really necessary to drive round the corner to pick up a couple of items from the neighbourhood shop? Short trips like that are easily done on foot or bike. Likewise, a long commute is often best done with a car.....Horses for courses - it makes best sense to use the appropriate mode for the trip in hand.

    As stated previously, we run both petrol and diesel works vehicles. Because at time of purchase, there were no other viable alternatives on the market. What I can't figure out, is why our one diesel unit comes in for so much criticism, when half the businesses in town also run diesel vehicles - yet you always remain silent about that.

    As pointed out several times. If there were no market for forest products, investors would put their capital elsewhere - and trees would not be planted as a crop. Whereas, boosting demand for sustainably grown timber (logs), encourages forest creation. Good news not only for wildlife, but also for mountainbiking - and without a doubt good for the planet!

    A) Fyi, I personally run an electric vehicle. Whereas as previously stated, the business runs petrol and diesel vehicles. As previously stated, these were acquired at a time when no viable electric alternatives existed...Btw, still no explanation as to why our diesel unit comes in for so much stick - when there are 100's more of same in use locally but these conveniently go under your radar?

    B) Wrong. This business only supplies and installs (at really GREAT prices!) Govt (DEFRA) approved stoves. Stoves that are so clean, they appear on Local Authority lists of appliances suitable for use in Smoke Control Areas (smokeless zones). Heating a property with a renewable fuel, adds zero CO2 to the atmosphere. Whereas, heating a property with a fossil fuel like gas (as I presume you do) only adds to atmospheric CO2, causing global warming and sealevel rise......So who's the hypocrite now?
