Personally, I will be getting out on the bike plenty - as we're allowed out for exercise, according to Bojo's little pep-talk tonight. And with (hopefully) most people staying in, traffic should be light, so the roads will be much safer.

An absolute nightmare for younger people with school age kids. How are they expected to hold down a job and look after their kids ? Plus further down the road will be a generation of uneducated dummies. Another fiasco regarding exams is on the horizon. Yet again the young are the ones to suffer. I thank god im on my final furlong.

Agree....But if I were a kid, the whole stay-off-school thing would have been absolutely marvellous. To me, the obligation to constantly attend school was a total pain. I used to cherish every free day, particularly the s-u-p-e-r-l-o-n-g Summer break.

Been ready for it for months, Anyone that didn't see this coming must be blind.
To many idiots in this country thinking it's one big joke. Sadly one of them is in power and doesn't have a clue. Stumbling from one cockup to the next.

I'm guess if you had kids they would be very far behind when they go back then.
Mine will be up first thing tomorrow doing their school work from home, Same as they did in the last lock down. They don't have to be at school to be educated.

"uneducated dummies" really?
Not the first time and not the last time the 'School' education has been disrupted. I guess parents will have to step up and do some parenting.

Well-stocked larder. All shopping now online and delivered.
Thousands of families have lost loved ones in the last 9 months, so a bit of isolation isnt a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
Orwell said "If there is hope, it lies in the proles." Whilst champagne socialists see diversity idealised at university, the common folk experience it first hand in their neighbour hoods.

I expect most will, but if they have to work to put food on the table and a roof over their heads the schools shutting creates extra difficulties they dont need. It will be managable for those who as long as they wake up every day their every need is met.
