Well, whatever it is, it's easier to catch than before - and also much more prevalent. For that reason, I'm being extra-careful. E.g. by using disposable gloves in supermarkets, binning them on exit. If I do inadvertantly touch something when out, I have plenty disinfectant wipes along, to give hands a good cleaning.

Don't want to worry you and all - but what about your clothing and your shoes? A virus can land anywhere. How are you protecting your eyes and your hair? You wear rubber gloves? How do you remove these from your hands? What about the handlebars on your bike - someone could have sneezed all over them while you were in the shop? It is pretty risky out there these days.

You do realise it’s entirely possible to remove a pair of disposable gloves without having to touch the exterior of them with your fingers?
I always remove my handlebars from the bike before entering a shop, specifically because of the high risk of people making a bee line to my bike while I’m gone and sneezing all over it, the swines.
Good to see your maintaining your usual high standard of drivel.

I'm just saying I have yet to see any examples of the behaviour you describe let alone many examples of elderly and vulnerable taking outdoor exercise - maybe that's because, far from being selfish, I'm not taking my exercise where they are likely to be.

That is funny your now complaining that you are doing what I first asked and you complained about me mentioning, if your avoiding people then great but I see too many "puffing billy's".

Are you just on auto rebutt.

Yes, I do think it's a good idea for cars to avoid people and people to avoid cars.

Not much can be done about clothes, as even a fully-sealed spacesuit could theoretically pick up contamination on its exterior - and I wouldn't like to try cycling in one.

On the bike, my head is protected, as are my hands and eyes. It's way too cold to do otherwise. But even with protection, some cold still manages to get in, particularly at the eyes causing moderate watering.

Mr Hamble parks socially distancing outside the supermarket.
Only trouble is some tuckers still box him in.

I have the same problem so avoiding cycling in the cold and wind.

As the expert in drivel, you should know. Incidentally, it’s you’re maintaining, NOT your maintaining.

Sorry, I've had to close the thread. It was obviously not going to stop.

Please report any future posts of the same nature. I don't usually read every thread. Thanks.
