Actually, you are on the right track - but not quite. As usual, I have been told by the 'experts' that I don't know what I am talking about - but here goes again. The virus has by now, disappeared. Why? Because all coronaviruses are active ONLY in the cold damp weather. The weather has been much warmer and sunnier - UV light kills viruses. But, since the media do not carry this fact - it is the generic misinformation.
The American Journal of Infection Control (AJIC) The coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 pandemic became a global health burden. We determined the susceptibility of SARS-CoV-2 to irradiation with ultraviolet light. The virus was highly susceptible to ultraviolet light. A viral stock with a high infectious titer of 5?×?106 TCID50/mL was completely inactivated by UVC irradiation after nine minutes of exposure. The UVC dose required for complete inactivation was 1,048 mJ/cm2. UVA exposure demonstrated only a weak effect on virus inactivation over 15 minutes. Hence, inactivation of SARS-CoV-2 by UVC irradiation constitutes a reliable method for disinfection purposes in health care facilities and for preparing SARS-CoV-2 material for research purpose."
And where does UV light come from naturally?

Can't see UV having much effect on a virus located within a persons body tbh. Or when breathed out from one person and inhaled a couple of seconds later by another. Or on objects like supermarket trolley/basket handles whilst in use inside a store. Or at petrol stations under the canopy, or after sunset anywhere, e.g. on tables and chairs outside a pub or restaurant. Or inside buildings generally, like flats, houses, schools and offices.

Apologies if I am wrong, but what you have written suggests that you want human beings to be drowned!
Please reassure me (and other readers) that you do not mean this!

The virus has disappeared???? Warmer weather destroys it???? Why don’t you nip over to India to give them the benefit of your expertise and knowledge, we are all aware of your predilection towards the COVID 19 virus, but please stay within some semblance of reality, of course based on your posting record the real world is not a place you normally inhabit.

I would not wish anyone to drown but stormy weather would discourage anyone from attempting to make a dangerous crossing.

Thank you for clarifying.
Whenever I think of poor people whose life in their own country is so bad they will risk death to get to a better life I remember how lucky we are.

Naturally UV light comes from the sun. However there are 3 types of UV light, and note that the AJIC article states that the virus is inactivated by UVC light.
UVC is completely absorbed by the ozone layer and doesn't even get to earth, which is just as well as it would damage our skin and eyes. UVC has been used as a disinfectant for years, e.g. sterilising medical instruments. However all UVC used on earth is man made.
If you want people to stop saying that you don't know what you're talking about, check your facts beforehand.

EXACTLY...
These mutations are a naturally expected thing and they are named after where they are first recorded or most prevalent, they don't necessarily have to get to the UK FROM that place.
If anyone sees Halle Berry tell her to stop phoning, my wife suspects!

It is very unlikely that two identical versions would pop up in different places, of all the genes within the virus for the same ones to all mutate the same and only those mutate must be a billion to one shot.

I agree when they get to Europe they are safe, but not satisfied with that they make their way from the warmth and sun of Southern Europe to a squalid encampment in Northern France (mind you I can understand people wanting to get out of France it is spoiled by the French ) and get over to cold windy UK. There must be some attraction that they can't get elsewhere that makes them risk their lives to get here. It is about time the attraction was Shut Down.

When this Country finally grows testicles and follows through with deportation orders handed out to Asian Child Grooming gangs in Rochdale and Rotherham perhaps the rest who have come here to live their lives cheating Insurance companies and everyone who pays Insurance Premiums in crash for cash and Benefit fraud with multiple false passports will follow them and leave us to weed out our own criminally employed cheaters and shirkers and get them jailed.

Sounds like you've been reading too much of the Daily Fail, whose responsibility it for deporting criminals the Governments not the country, the country elected the government to do these things and they are failing miserably.

The Indian variant is now spreading in England.
A study of front-line doctors in India has shown that despite all having had 2 doses of vaccine, 60% have got Covid again. But none were seriously ill.
