Can't see UV having much effect on a virus located within a persons body tbh. Or when breathed out from one person and inhaled a couple of seconds later by another. Or on objects like supermarket trolley/basket handles whilst in use inside a store. Or at petrol stations under the canopy, or after sunset anywhere, e.g. on tables and chairs outside a pub or restaurant. Or inside buildings generally, like flats, houses, schools and offices.

And where does UV light come from naturally?

Naturally UV light comes from the sun. However there are 3 types of UV light, and note that the AJIC article states that the virus is inactivated by UVC light.

UVC is completely absorbed by the ozone layer and doesn't even get to earth, which is just as well as it would damage our skin and eyes. UVC has been used as a disinfectant for years, e.g. sterilising medical instruments. However all UVC used on earth is man made.

If you want people to stop saying that you don't know what you're talking about, check your facts beforehand.

New variants aren't necessarily 'getting in'. Just because a variant is identified in one country doesn't mean the same variation could not occur elsewhere at the same time. Although there are probably an infnite number of variations, some will make the virus weaker.The number of variations that might make a virus stronger are therefore fewer and probably limited to cetain aspects of the virus making them more likely. Mutations, by definition are spontaneous so could occur anywhere simultaneously. That's not to say border control isn't important though.

These mutations are a naturally expected thing and they are named after where they are first recorded or most prevalent, they don't necessarily have to get to the UK FROM that place.

It is very unlikely that two identical versions would pop up in different places, of all the genes within the virus for the same ones to all mutate the same and only those mutate must be a billion to one shot.

I agree when they get to Europe they are safe, but not satisfied with that they make their way from the warmth and sun of Southern Europe to a squalid encampment in Northern France (mind you I can understand people wanting to get out of France it is spoiled by the French ) and get over to cold windy UK. Sounds like you've been reading too much of the Daily Fail, whose responsibility it for deporting criminals the Governments not the country, the country elected the government to do these things and they are failing miserably.
