Line Of Duty finale
Anyone else hooked as much as we are? Only started watching from Season 5 but have binged watched from Season 1 every episode all week.
Glad we did watch from the beginning as so many references relate throughout the series. Like Ryan Pilkington who was in season one as a yound kid.
Must admit to googling some of the acronyms used so much.
Love the Ted quotes, especially "Jesus Mary Jospeh and the wee donkey".

I shall soon be gritting my teeth at the dramatic "mother of god" oaths uttered by Mr H.

I enjoyed it, but felt it was a bit of an anti-climax.
I was hoping for a bigger fish to be 'H'. Though I take the point about failing upward. There's a lot of that about at the moment...
I think it leaves the door slightly ajar for another series. Hopefully.

I liked the updates at the end of the episode though it left out the info on whether H has stopped misspelling the D word.

H wasn't revealed, Thurwell admitted he was a go between but never admitted it to being H. It also seemed a bit far fetched that he could have been the one dealing with all the messages and txts as he couldn't have had the necessary time and seclusion to deal with them so quickly whilst also being in work.

Who was Jo Davidsons father?
Carmichael is clearly blocking an investigation into institutional corruption.
Chief Constable is obviously bent!
Too many unanswered questions, hopefully there will be series 7

Jo's father was Tommy Banks which was discovered by DNA.
No appearance from the Police & Crime Commissioner Rohan Sindwhani who had resigned - were things getting too hot, he had been close to others who have been found out, has he links to overseas we know little of his background or history but he definately seems a bit dodgy.

I was rather underwhelmed TBH. If I got it right the fourth man was nothing more than a stooge for the OCG or possibly OCGs and he was motivated only by greed. I suppose that is realistic - probably most corruption comes down to that. But it did seem that there were bigger hands pulling strings given the number of bent coppers and prison warders and the amount of organisation needed to divert from or cover up the OCG activities.
I'm glad the suspicion has been lifted from Ted. It felt like the last ever episode of the whole series. Still some loose ends though, so maybe....

The banality of evil was the moral of the S6 finale. Not a Chief Constable but a shambolic and over-promoted senior manager, who metaphorically wet himself when he realised he was about to witness an actual murder.
Strange that the OCG had a custom secure application for it's conversations but only thought to use a VPN to protect users when they wanted to divert attention to Spain.
Deliberately vague ending - Ted Hastings says he is appealing against the early retirement but also talked about Kate and Steve carrying the fire in the future. Allows for season 7 with or without Adrian Dunbar.

I was dissapointed with the final episode. Watched it again the day after and made a lot more sense. I think the media and self inflicted hype got to me.
Very glad I watched it again
