The Semitic peoples are a stiff-necked lot. Neither side will ever back down and thinks that the way to deal with the other is to escalate the violence. My mother, years ago, had a Jewish friend who visited Israel and came back absolutely seething about the way the Jews treated the Palestinians. The rest of Israel's neighbours live only to wipe them off the face of the earth. There's no middle ground.
Trump unbalanced the situation by favouring Israel and telling the Palestinians that they need to compromise or leave the negotiations. Much as I hate to agree with anything Trump says there was some merit in this. Personally, I would let everyone who wants to leave the country then tell those who remain to duke it out until only one is left standing. I realise this is never going to happen but maybe, if the UN was what it is supposed to be, it could step in and take over the countries while brokering talks.
Or let the WVS sort them out.

I have no answers to the whole ungodly mess.

The UN would not put humans in a peace keeping position it is just too dangerous.

In partition what would happen to Israeli Arabs?
Last week I would have expected the majority to remain in Western Israel.

The crisis between Israel and Hamas continues to escalate . I know a young British Jewish lad who is serving in the Israeli army .

As of today at least 1,750 rockets have been fired at Israel, of which 300 fell short in the Gaza strip.This has resulted in talk of an Israeli ground invasion.
Hamas armed wing spokesman Abu Ubaida responded to this by urging Palestinians to rise up.
